AAR CORP. provides products and services to commercial aviation, government, and defense markets worldwide. The company operates through two segments, Aviation Services and Technology Products. The Aviation Services segment sells and leases various new, overhauled and repaired engine, and airframe parts and components to commercial and defense customers; provides customized inventory supply and management, warranty claim management, and outsourcing programs for engine and airframe parts and components; and offers customized performance-based logistics programs in support of the U.S. Department of Defense and foreign governments. This segment also provides airframe maintenance inspection and overhaul, painting, line maintenance, airframe modification, structural repair, avionic service and installation, exterior and interior refurbishment, and engineering services, as well as support for commercial and military aircraft; and repair and overhaul for landing gears, wheels, brakes, and actuators; and airlift services, such as fixed-and rotary-wing flight operations, and transporting personnel and cargo to government customers, as well as sells and leases used commercial aircraft. The Technology Products segment designs, manufactures, and repairs transportation pallets, temperature-controlled containers, and containers and shelters used in support of military and humanitarian tactical deployment activities; designs, manufactures, and installs in-plane cargo loading and handling systems for commercial aircraft, military aircraft, and helicopters; and provides engineering, design, and system integration services for specialized command and control systems. The company primarily markets and sells products and services through its employees and sales agents. As of May 31, 2014, it held four aircraft in joint ventures and two wholly-owned aircraft. The company was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in Wood Dale, Illinois.

AAR Announces Five-Year Agreement with Air Nostrum

AAR Corp. has announced a five-year agreement with Air Nostrum to overhaul landing gear on its CRJ900 aircraft fleet. The contract builds upon AAR's existing relationship and experience servicing landing gear on the airline's entire fleet of CRJ200s over the past seven years. AAR is performing the work at its landing gear repair station in Miami. This agreement expands AAR's global maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities on regional jets. Last month, the company signed an agreement with Utah-based SkyWest Airlines to overhaul landing gear on its fleet of 40 Embraer 175 commercial passenger jets.

AAR Corp. Exercises Right to Redeem 1.75% Convertible Senior Notes Due 2015

AAR Corp. has exercised its right to redeem all of the currently outstanding $30,000,000 principal amount of 1.75% Convertible Senior Notes due 2015. The company announced that the redemption price of the notes is 103.358% of the principal amount redeemed, which amount is equal to $1,033.58 per $1,000 principal amount, plus accrued and unpaid interest to, but not including, the redemption date, in accordance with the provisions of the indenture governing the notes. The redemption date for the notes is October 1, 2014.
