AAR CORP. provides products and services to aviation, government, and defense markets worldwide. The company operates trough two segments, Aviation Services and Technology Products. The Aviation Services segment sells and leases various new, overhauled and repaired engine, and airframe parts and components to commercial and defense customers; provides customized inventory supply and management, warranty claim management, and outsourcing programs for engine and airframe parts and components; and offers customized performance-based logistics programs in support of the U.S. Department of Defense and foreign governments. This segment also provides airframe maintenance inspection and overhaul, painting, line maintenance, airframe modification, structural repair, avionic service and installation, exterior and interior refurbishment, and engineering services, as well as support for commercial and military aircrafts; and repair and overhaul for landing gears, wheels, brakes, and actuators; and airlift services, such as in fixed-and rotary-wing flight operations, and transporting personnel and cargo to government customers, as well as sells and leases used commercial aircrafts. The Technology Products segment designs, manufactures, and repairs airdrop and other transportation pallets, and containers and shelters used in support of military and humanitarian tactical deployment activities; designs, manufactures, and installs in-plane cargo loading and handling systems for commercial and military aircraft and helicopters; and provides engineering, design, and system integration services for specialized command and control systems. The company primarily markets and sells products and services through its own employees and sales agents. As of May 31, 2013, it had ownership interests in 18 aircrafts. The company was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in Wood Dale, Illinois.

AAR Wins Five-Year Supply Chain Deal with Kenya Airways

AAR announced that it has been awarded a five-year multi-million dollar agreement with Kenya Airways to provide power-by-the-hour component support for its fleet of 737NG aircraft. The contract is part of the government's "Doing Business in Africa" initiative. Under the agreement, AIR will place inventory on site in Nairobi while offering additional rotable pool support from its newly established supply chain hub in Brussels.

AAR Secures Contract with Aeromexico to Perform Heavy Maintenance

Grant Park Global announced that AAR has secured a contract with Aeromexico to provide heavy maintenance, or C checks, on three of the airline's Boeing 767 aircraft. AAR will perform the work at the Indianapolis Maintenance Center, its large maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in the U.S., located on the Indianapolis airport. Work has already begun on the first 767; two more aircraft will be delivered in the coming weeks. The contract is the first between AAR and Aeromexico, and expands on the aerospace and defense contractor's global presence, which includes supply chain, cargo and transport, component repair and inventory management operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
