The company’s heat transfer solutions include air, all welded, brazed, electrical, fusion bonded, plate, gasketed plate, scraped-surface, shell-and-tube, and spiral heat exchangers, as well as boilers, burners, desalination products, evaporators, gas combustion units, thermal fluid heaters, and waste heat recovery products that optimize energy use for heating, cooling, refrigeration, ventilation, evaporation, and condensation. Its separation solutions consist of decanter centrifuges, filters and strainers, membrane filtration systems, and separators that are used to separate liquids from other liquids, solid particles from liquids, and particles and liquids from gases. The company’s fluid handling systems comprise ballast water treatment products, condensers, deodorizers, pumps, tank cleaning equipment, tank equipment, tap water systems, tubes and fittings, and valves that are used for the transportation and regulation of fluids. Its products are used in beverages, biofuels, biotech and pharmaceutical, chemicals, crude oil refinery, dairy, engine and transport, fluid power, food, HVAC, industrial fermentation, latex, machinery, marine, metal working, mining and mineral processing, oil and gas, power, pulp and paper, refrigeration and cooling, semiconductor systems, steel and coke oven gas, sugar, and wastewater treatment industries. The company was formerly known as AB Separator and changed its name to Alfa Laval AB (publ) in 1963. Alfa Laval AB (publ) was founded in 1883 and is headquartered in Lund, Sweden.

Alfa Laval Wins SEK 50 Million Natural Gas Order in Russia

Alfa Laval has won an order to supply heat exchangers to a natural gas stabilization plant in Russia. The order is worth approximately SEK 50 million with delivery scheduled for 2015. The order is booked in the Energy & Process segment of the Process Technology division. Alfa Laval's compact welded heat exchangers will be used for heating and cooling the gas condensate, making it suitable for transport. The demands on the equipment are particularly high as the gas condensate originates from a reservoir, located several thousand meters below the ground, with very high pressure and temperature.

Alfa Laval Wins SEK 120 Million Energy-Efficiency Order from AkzoNobel

Alfa Laval has won an order to supply compact heat exchangers for the caustic evaporation plant of AkzoNobel in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The order, booked in the Process Industry segment or the Energy & Process segment according to the new organization for the Process Technology division, has a value of approximately SEK 120 million and deliveries are scheduled for 2014 and 2015. Alfa Laval's compact heat exchangers will be used for concentrating caustic soda, an important ingredient in the chemical and petrochemical industries. The compact heat exchangers will re-use heat from different steps of the evaporation process, thereby maximizing the energy efficiency and minimizing the energy use.
