ANA Holdings Inc., together with its subsidiaries, provides passenger and cargo transportation services in Japan and internationally. The company’s Air Transportation segment conducts domestic and international passenger operations; cargo and mail operations; and other transportation services. Its Airline Related segment conducts air transportation related operations, such as airport passenger and ground handling services, aircraft and vehicle maintenance services, cargo and logistics, in-flight catering, and call center services, as well as commission work services to other airlines. The company’s Travel Services segment engages in airline ticketing; and planning and selling branded travel packages with various inbound travel and travel savings plans using air transportation. Its Trade and Retail segment imports and exports goods related to air transportation, and semiconductors and electronic components; imports, exports, and sells paper, pulp, and food products; provides advertising agency services; and operates an online shopping site. This segment is also involved in in-store and non-store retailing business. The company also innovates and operates IT systems; and operates express shipping business. It provides passenger services through 1,082 flights on 133 routes daily in Japan and 938 flights weekly on 54 routes internationally, as well as 10 freighter flights on 6 routes daily in Japan and 162 freighter flights on 18 routes weekly internationally. As of March 31, 2014, it operated 231 aircraft. The company was formerly known as All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. and changed its name to ANA Holdings Inc. in April 2013. The company was founded in 1952 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

All Nippon Airways and Philippine Airlines to Establish Commercial Partnership

All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Philippine Airlines have agreed to establish a commercial partnership covering areas such as code-share and frequent flyer programs. The code-share between two countries is due to commence on October 26 and reciprocal frequent flyers programs between ANA and Philippine Airlines will begin at the same time. ANA added its new service from this March between Haneda International Airport and Manila International Airport while Philippine Airlines also added its new daytime service between Manila and Haneda. The total number of flights between Japan and Philippines operated by ANA and Philippine airlines will be 74 per week. Under the code-share, ANA will add its 'NH' designator code to Philippine Airlines-operated flights not only between Japan and Philippine but also domestic flights within the Philippines. Philippine Airlines will also add its 'PR' designator code to flights between Japan and the Philippines and domestic flights within Japan operated by ANA.

All Nippon Airways to Expand Code-Sharing with TAM Linhas Aereas

All Nippon Airways announced that it will expand code-sharing arrangements with TAM Linhas Aereas on Oct. 26, 2014. The code-sharing will apply to flights between Sao Paulo and Paris and between Sao Paulo and Frankfurt, in addition to the current coverage for flights between Sao Paulo and London. Five domestic routes involving Sao Paulo will be added to the code-sharing, including routes to Brasilia and Manaus.

Vietnam Airlines May Sell Stake To All Nippon Airways

As reported, Vietnam Airlines Company Limited may sell stake to ANA Holdings Inc. (TSE:9202). Vietnam Airlines was in talks with several possible partners, but it has reportedly chosen ANA Holdings (All Nippon Airways) as a possible strategic partner. A spokesman for All Nippon Airways declined to comment on the reports.
