Alstom SA Signs Contract with Energiselskapet Buskerud for Repair of Generator at Dovikfoss Power Plant

Alstom SA has signed a contract with Energiselskapet Buskerud (EB) for the repair and refurbishment of the existing generator at the 1x25MW Dovikfoss hydro power plant, for a total amount of E4 million. The scope of the contract includes repair and refurbishment of the generator at Dovikfoss power plant. In order to limit the loss of energy production due to the spilling of water, the dismantling works started in May 2014 and the assembly of the new and refurbished parts will be completed in June 2015.

Alstom SA Appoints Jerome Wallut as President of Alstom Transportation, Inc. and Senior Vice-President of North American Rail Transportation Business

Alstom S.A. has appointed Jerome Wallut as president of Alstom Transportation Inc. and senior vice-president of Alstom's North American rail transportation business. In this new role, he will lead strategy, business development, customer relations, sales and project execution in the region. He will be in charge of over 1,500 employees throughout the continent. Previously, Jerome was Managing Director of Alstom Transport France from 2010 to 2014 where he managed high-speed rail, tramway, metro, signaling and services contracts and led the 'Next Generation' high-speed trains project in collaboration with the French government.

Alstom S.A. Wins GBP 36.1 Million Contract from Eversholt Rail to Enhance Scottish Suburban Trains

Alstom S.A. has won a two-year contract worth GBP 36.1 million from Eversholt Rail Group, a rolling stock operating company, to enhance the passenger environment of the 40 First ScotRail Class 334 trains which run between Airdrie and Bathgate. The work is due to start in early 2015 and will deliver significant improvements for the benefit of passengers. Alstom's Modernisation team in Preston will lead the work, with the Glasgow Traincare Centre in Polmadie removing and refitting the components, supported by Manchester Traincare Centre. Some of the works being undertaken as part of this contract are: time-based overhaul; overhaul and reliability works on saloon and cab doors; fitting full passenger saloon heating, ventilation and air conditioning; installation of 230v at seat sockets; preparing carriages for future WiFi, by installing an Ethernet backbone; and New Drivers Only operation CCTV system.
