The Support.com and Absolute Software Setup and Optimization Service for tablets provides comprehensive out of the box value and support for new device purchases including Support.com's tablet optimization app that can help extend battery life and improve privacy and security. Absolute Software's Absolute Data Protect app that contains the essential security features of lock, locate and delete. If a tablet is missing or stolen, users can preemptively take measure to safeguard their data. Support.com powered tech support for Wi-Fi setup, email setup and app store access. The service initially supports both Android(TM) and Windows(R) 8-based tablets and is available at Staples Inc. retail locations nationwide.

Absolute Software Corporation announced it has been positioned by Gartner Inc. in the Niche quadrant of the Mobile Device Management Software (MDM) Magic Quadrant. This is the first year Absolute Software has been included in this Magic Quadrant. Absolute Software is also positioned in the Visionaries quadrant of the Client Management Tools Magic Quadrant by Gartner Inc. Absolute Software's MDM solution, Absolute Manage MDM, allows customers to remotely secure and manage all the mobile devices in their deployment including Android, iOS, and Windows(R) Phone devices. Absolute Software Corporation announced that it is first to market with a consumer theft recovery solution for Android smartphones. This solution is the result of the Absolute Software and Samsung global partnership announced in early April 2013. Samsung has embedded patented Absolute persistence technology into select Samsung GALAXY devices starting with the Samsung GALAXY S4. Leveraging the same Absolute persistence technology used in LoJack for Laptops, once installed and activated it cannot be removed even if the device is restored to factory settings. When a protected Samsung GALAXY S4 is stolen, the Absolute Investigations and Recovery Services team will work with law enforcement globally to get the device back. Users can also remotely lock, locate their device or delete sensitive files to prevent identity theft. The consumer theft recovery solution for Android smartphones will be available early this summer starting at $29.99 with several subscription options ranging from one year up to four years.
