Acciona, S.A. is engaged in the development and management of infrastructure, renewable energy, water, and services in Spain and internationally. The company’s Energy division develops, constructs, operates, and maintains wind, solar thermal, PV solar, hydraulic, and biomass plants, as well as generates, distributes, and markets energy ; constructs and manufactures wind turbine generators; and markets renewable energy to end-customers. This division has 100% ownership of approximately 8,500 MW worth of installed capacity. Its Infrastructure division constructs roadways; hydraulic, maritime, and underground works; industrial projects; and transport hubs, shopping malls, corporate buildings, hotels and apartments, communications towers, museums, congress centers, sports facilities, and healthcare and knowledge centers. This division is also involved in the infrastructure concessions and maintenance; provision of construction machinery; steel structures projects; design, assembly, and maintenance of electro-mechanical installations in civil and industrial projects; and civil, industrial, and environmental engineering activities. The company’s Water division designs, constructs, and operates drinking water treatment plants, desalination facilities, and wastewater and tertiary treatment plants for water reuse, as well as supplies water. Its Service division provides ancillary, energy, handling, cleaning, environmental, productions and design, security, catering and vending, technical, urban, and health and social services. The company’s Logistic & Transport Services division provides land and sea transportation of passengers and goods; and integrated logistics services for temperature and refrigerated loads and storage through refrigerated trailers. Its Other Business division provides fund management and stock broking services, as well as produces wine. Acciona, S.A. is headquartered in Alcobendas, Spain.

Acciona And KKR Reportedly Hire Advisors For ACCIONA Energía International's Listing

Acciona, S.A. (CATS:ANA) and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (NYSE:KKR) have tapped banks including JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) and The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE:GS) for a United States initial public offering of ACCIONA Energía International, Wall Street Journal reported citing people familiar with the matter. Other banks could be added to the roster in the coming months. Acciona, S.A. and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. haven't decided if they will sell shares or which assets will be included in the public offering, which could come in early 2015.

Ferrovial And Bouygues Reportedly Aim To Buy John Holland

Ferrovial, S.A. (CATS:FER), Acciona, S.A. (CATS:ANA) and Bouygues SA (ENXTPA:EN) are reportedly among the parties interested in acquiring Leighton Holdings Limited's (ASX:LEI) wholly-owned John Holland Group Pty Ltd. However, Acciona has denied its participation in the race. A Chinese group and private equity players have also been reported as contenders.

Acciona Announces Earnings Results for the First Half Year Ended 2014; Provides Guidance for Capital Expenditure for the Year 2014 and 2015

Acciona announced earnings results for the first half year ended 2014. the company reported revenues reached EUR 3 billion, 2.5% below the same period last year. EBITDA, EUR 472 million, 16.3% below last year, but excluding the regulatory impact, the EBITDA would have grown by 5.1% in the first half of this year. Earning before interest and taxes was EUR 254 million, 18.2% higher. CapEx was EUR 190 million and net financial debt was EUR 5.8 billion, which is 12% below June 2013. For the year 2015, the company expects EUR 200 million to EUR 250 million CapEx range. CapEx expectation for 2014 is EUR 350 million.
