For the six months, revenue was GBP 247,000 against GBP 339,000 for the same period a year ago. Operating loss was GBP 1,854,000 against GBP 19,000 for the same period a year ago. Loss before tax was GBP 1,851,000 against GBP 18,000 for the same period a year ago. Loss and total comprehensive income for the period attributable to shareholders was GBP 1,851,000 against GBP 18,000 for the same period a year ago. Basic and diluted loss per share was 0.06 pence against 0.21 pence for the same period a year ago. Net cash flow from operations was GBP 400,000 against GBP 39,000 for the same period a year ago. Adjusted underlying operating loss was GBP 168,000 against GBP 19,000 for the same period a year ago.

Alpha Strategic plc announced the appointment of Mr. Alistair McKay as Chief Executive with effect from October 1, 2012. His appointment follows Dr. Nicola Meaden Grenham's resignation in early July 2012, who remains on the company board as a Non-Executive Director. Alistair held senior investment banking positions at Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley and most recently was a senior advisor to Asset Management Finance.
