The Central Administrative Court has thrown out a lawsuit filed by Suvarnabhumi airport's car parking operator against Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AoT). Parking Management Co had accused the AoT of wrongfully terminating its contract to operate the international airport's car park. Following the court's decision, Parking Management must leave Suvarnabhumi airport by end of this month. The parking fees collected during the court dispute, worth more than THB 300 million, will be returned to the AoT. The money has been held in trust by the court.
Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited announced that Sita Divari, a former MP for Bangkok, was elected by AOT board members as their chairman on February 21. He listed improving the standard of services and relieving congestion at Suvarnabhumi and Phuket airports as his priorities.
