In addition, it offers environmental services consisting of contaminated site evaluation and remediation services; climate change and sustainability services; environmental management consulting services; incident planning, recovery, and response services; property redevelopment support services; real estate and asset management services; and transactional services for companies and governments. ARCADIS Helps TenneT Renew and Reinforce its European High Voltage Power Networks

ARCADIS announced that it has been selected as a preferred supplier to provide engineering services for TenneT. As preferred supplier, ARCADIS will participate in two framework agreements for a period of three years (with a possible 2 times 2 years extension). One contract is valued at EUR 26 million and the other EUR 13 million. ARCADIS will share each contract with two other firms. ARCADIS will provide system and back-up system design capabilities, telecommunications expertise, electromagnetic pulse and grounding know-how to ensure safety, as well as construction design and supervision, and quality control services. In addition, ARCADIS could become involved in related activities, such as permitting, planning and geotechnical services.

NAM Selects ARCADIS to Coordinate Earthquake Damage Repair in Groningen Province

ARCADIS announced that it will lead a consortium of four firms that together will work on resolving earthquake damage issues in the Groningen province in the northeast of the Netherlands on behalf of NAM. The contract length is slightly over five years and the expected revenues for the consortium associated with the work total EUR 20 million to EUR 25 million per year. As consortium partner, ARCADIS will have a 55% stake in the company that has been set up to coordinate the work, while CED Claimexperts will hold the other 45%. OWS and IBM will be subcontractors and strategic partners to the team. Through the new firm the companies will together manage and coordinate the handling of damage resulting from the earthquakes in the northeast of the province of Groningen. In addition it will manage and coordinate structural strengthening of buildings, while also working on making the affected buildings more sustainable. Finally, the consortium will manage all of the parties involved in the actual execution of the projects, including contractors, engineering firms, damage experts with a goal to use local companies as much as possible.

ARCADIS Wins $82 Million Contract to Improve Environment and Quality of Life for Service Members at Joint Base Mcguire-Dix-Lakehurst

ARCADIS has been selected by The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District to complete performance-based environmental remediation activities at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB-MDL) in New Jersey. Under this 10-year, $82 million firm-fixed-price contract, with $16 million authorized to date, ARCADIS will support JB-MDL's mission by restoring 104 sites impacted by historical operations. This contract will support the Air Force in meeting the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) goals of achieving Response Complete at 90% of the defense environmental restoration program (DERP) sites by 2018 and 95% by 2021. The nature of the environmental impacts at JB-MDL include petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, polychlorinated biphenyl (PCBs), landfills, soil, ground water and surface water. Contaminant mass is present as non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPLs), dissolved in water, and in soils. Both proven cleanup technologies such as soil removal, soil vapor extraction (SVE), air sparging (AS), monitored natural attenuation (MNA), and product recovery will be deployed as well as more innovative techniques such as in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO), permeable reactive barriers (PRB), directed groundwater recirculation (DGR), enhanced reductive dechlorination (ERD) and in-situ bioremediation (ISB) will be applied to meet these objectives. The project will build on previous successful site cleanups at other Department of Defense facilities in New Jersey and throughout the US.
