Arcadis NV announced changes to its executive leadership effective immediately. Charles H. Leichner was appointed as chief strategy and sales officer (CSSO) and Dr. Suthan S. Suthersan was named as chief technical officer. Leichner is responsible for leading firm-wide strategy. He previously served as the executive vice president for strategic development, global director of corporate development, as well as the director of integration for many firms that have joined ARCADIS through mergers and acquisitions. Suthersan will serve as the chief technical officer for ARCADIS U.S., with the mission to provide the best solutions to clients, while supporting company goals and driving organic growth. Suthersan brings more than 30 years of experience. As a pioneer of in-situ remediation, Suthersan has authored multiple books on the science and been awarded eight patents for remediation technology applications.

ARCADIS in its AGM held on May 7, 2013, appointed Mr. Niek Hoek to its Supervisory Board for a period of four years. Mr. Zack Smith was appointed to the Executive Board for a period of four years, succeeding Mr. Steve Blake, who decided to retire upon the completion of his current term. Mr. Niek Hoek (1956) has been Chairman of the Executive Board of Delta Lloyd NV since 2001 and a member of its Executive Board since 1997. Prior to joining Delta Lloyd, Mr. Hoek worked 17 years for Shell in the Netherlands, UK, Malaysia and Uruguay. Mr. Hoek was CEO of Shell Uruguay and Chief Investment Officer of the Shell Pension Fund in The Netherlands. Mr. Hoek is a Supervisory Board member at NIBC Holding NV. Mr. Zack Smith (1956), is currently Chief Strategy and Sales Officer for ARCADIS US and a member of the board of ARCADIS Logos in Brazil. He has more than 29 years of experience managing and directing management teams to successfully provide a wide range of environmental services for large facilities throughout the US and was President of the Environment Division of ARCADIS US during 2011. The company announced Shareholders approved the dividend proposal of 0.52 per share during the Annual General Meeting, which represents an 11% dividend increase compared to last year.

Arcadis announced that it has appointed both a CEO and a CFO to lead its Continental European operations. Mr. Stephan Ritter, currently General Manager, Renewable Energy Europe for General Electric will join Arcadis as CEO for Continental Europe per September 1, 2013 at the latest. Mr. Toon Corver, currently Financial Director for ARCADIS Netherlands has been appointed to the position of CFO for Continental Europe per April 1, 2013. In his role as Financial Director for Arcadis Netherlands, Mr. Corver has been succeeded by an internal candidate. Mr. Stephan Ritter has been in his current position since 2009 and has built a track record of strong revenue growth and cost savings in that short timeframe. He has held several other leadership positions with General Electric (GE) including the position of General Manager and Operational Manager for the global activities in Enterprise Solutions, Sensing & Inspection Technologies from (2004-2009), the role of Six Sigma leader in several operating locations for GE in Germany with global operations and prior to that roles in project acquisition and customer management. Mr. Toon Corver (1961), has been Financial Director for Arcadis Netherlands since 2006.
