Arabtec Holding PJSC, together with its subsidiaries, provides construction services for residential, commercial, infrastructure, and oil and gas sectors primarily in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jordan, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. The company provides architectural modeling, civil engineering and building, construction and project management, business development, quantity surveying, high rise development, offshore and onshore oil and gas installation, drainage, and electrical HV and LV services. It is also engaged in the development of commercial and industrial projects, residential projects, luxury villas, hotels and hotel interiors, cinema complexes, hypermarket fit outs, food courts, airport developments, aircraft maintenance hangars, passenger terminals, departure lounges, and fuel tank farms. In addition, the company is involved in the manufacture and transportation of ready mix concrete products; trading and leasing of construction and building equipment; buying, selling, leasing, and management of properties; fabrication of steel structures, profiles, storage tanks, road tankers, and steel and structural buildings; and manufacture of switch gears, power distribution panels, and precast panels. In addition, it offers building maintenance and cleaning services, and the facilities management and security services; and sewerage, water fittings, and caravans maintenance services, as well as undertakes electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and infrastructure construction works. The company was formerly known as Arab Technical Construction Company. Arabtec Holding PJSC was founded in 1975 and is based in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

Arabtec Holding Reports Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and First Half of the Year 2014

Arabtec Holding reported earnings results for the second quarter and first half of the year 2014. The company reported a net profit of AED 103 million for the second quarter of year 2014, marking an 11% increase over the same period last year when net profit stood at AED 92 million. Revenues for the second quarter of 2014 jumped to AED 2.4 billion, recording a 51% rise over the AED 1.6 billion during the second quarter of 2013. The company reported profits for the first half of 2014 was AED 240 million, increasing annually by 55%, as the first half of 2013 amounted to AED 155 million. As for revenues for the first half of 2014, they stood at AED 4.5 billion - a 45% gain over the AED 3.1 billion by the end of June 2013.

Aabar Reportedly In Talks to Acquire Stake In Arabtec

Aabar Investments PJSC is reportedly planning to increase its stake in Arabtec Holding P.J.S.C. (DFM:ARTC). Aabar Investments is holding talks to acquire at least half of a 28.9% stake in Arabtec Holding P.J.S.C. (DFM:ARTC) from Hasan Ismaik, a person with knowledge of the situation said. Aabar intends to raise its holding in Arabtec to more than 30%, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the discussions are private. Bloomberg added that a public relations representative for Aabar declined to comment, citing company policy. A personal assistant for Ismaik also declined to comment.

Aabar Might Increase Stake In Arabtec

Aabar Investments PJSC intends to increase its holding in Arabtec Holding P.J.S.C. (DFM:ARTC). Aabar is weighing whether to increase its stake in Arabtec. “Arabtec is an important company to Aabar and in the future we will review the stake we own in Arabtec in a positive way for the company,” Khadem Al Qubaisi, Chairman of both companies. The investment is a “strategic” one for Aabar, he said.
