Consulate Health Care Selects Aruba Networks, Inc. for Major Wireless Network Upgrade

Aruba Networks, Inc. announced that Consulate Health Care has chosen Aruba for a major wireless network upgrade. When fully deployed, the network will include 2,700 Aruba Instant controller-less access points (APs), to connect Consulate's 200+ care centers across 21 states. Understanding the importance of employing the newest and best forms of technology to aid its employees in meeting resident and patient care needs, Consulate sought to upgrade its aging wireless infrastructure. The organization's existing Cisco and Aerohive equipment was unable to provide the scalability and security Consulate requires to serve the more than 600 company-issued mobile devices and thousands of guest devices connecting to the network daily.

University of the South Deploys Aruba's 802.11ac Solution at Sewanee Inn and Conference Center

Aruba Networks, Inc. has announced that the University of the South has deployed Aruba's 802.11ac solution at its new Sewanee Inn and Conference Center. Aruba 802.11ac solution is ideal for handling the high density requirements of the Inn's meeting rooms during events, as well as supporting the expected mix of mobile devices guests and event participants will bring into the venue. The Sewanee Inn implementation includes Aruba AP-225s inside the hotel and meeting areas and the recently announced Aruba AP-275s in its outdoor eating area and outside of the conference center. Schlichting said the aesthetics of the Aruba outdoor APs were an added benefit; the Aruba 270 Series APs blend into the environment in a compact, element-resistant enclosure with no exposed wiring or antennas. The Inn is also using Aruba mobility controllers and the AirWave Network Management System. AirWave is being used in both the deployment phase, providing visual RF planning capabilities for optimal AP placement and design, and once the network is up and running, for management, maintenance and troubleshooting.

SVP Worldwide Replaces its Cisco WLAN Infrastructure with Aruba's Cloud Wi-Fi Solution

Aruba Networks, Inc. announced that SVP Worldwide has replaced its Cisco WLAN infrastructure with Aruba's Cloud Wi-Fi solution including the Aruba Instant 802.11ac APs (access points) and Aruba Central cloud-based management system to rapidly enable mobile collaboration across its distributed enterprise locations. With more than 200 corporate-issued devices, as well as a Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) policy in place to accommodate the needs of #GenMobile workers who want access from home and other non-traditional office locations, SVP Worldwide needed a solution that could support the increasing number and new types of devices on their network. The company evaluated products from a number of vendors including Cisco -- both its controller-based and Meraki cloud solutions -- before selecting Aruba's Cloud Wi-Fi solution. According to Aaron Paxson, Global Network Manager for SVP Worldwide, central management, ease of use and the ability to deploy quickly to a number of remote locations were all critical factors in their decision to deploy Aruba. With Aruba Central, Paxson noted that SVP Worldwide has been able to resolve issues much faster than before, resulting in a wireless network that operates reliably and end users who are more productive. With more than 500 Wi-Fi CERTIFIED(TM) 802.11ac devices on the market, Paxson said that having an 802.11ac-based solution was important to SVP Worldwide's choice of infrastructure.
