Arrow Electronics Inc. officially announced the North American launch of the ArrowSphere cloud service brokerage and aggregation platform that was established in 2012 and is currently available in five countries across Europe. In addition, Arrow unveiled a suite of services to assist the service provider community in building and scaling cloud practices. The ArrowSphere cloud services platform centralizes the billing and provisioning of a rapidly growing array of cloud services delivering storage and servers on demand, security-as-a-service, software-as-a-service and unified communications. Solution providers can sell the services via white-label webstores they create and manage through the platform, thereby maximizing their sales and marketing activities.

SafeNet Inc. and Arrow Electronics, Inc. announced an extended North American distribution agreement focused on addressing growing market demand for comprehensive data security and compliance solutions within virtualized and storage environments. This expands the existing agreement for authentication solutions now including the entire data protection portfolio in North America between Arrow and SafeNet. Under the terms of the new agreement, Arrow's enterprise computing solutions segment will offer SafeNet's complete portfolio of Data Protection solutions, including ProtectV(TM), a comprehensive data encryption solution for virtualized and cloud environments, and StorageSecure, the industry's only high-assurance encryption appliance for Network Attached Storage (NAS). These data protection products delivered with virtualization and storage solutions from multiple vendors deliver cost effective security and compliance without compromising existing network and storage architectures. ProtectV provides the industry's first comprehensive high-assurance solution for securing data in the virtual data center and the cloud, providing organizations with the freedom to migrate to virtual and cloud environments while maintaining full ownership, compliance, and control of data. It is compatible with VMware vShield(TM) and VMware vCenter(TM). It can also be used by Amazon Web Services customers to secure critical data in the cloud. StorageSecure is high-assurance hardware storage encryption solution that connects to 1Gb or 10Gb Ethernet networks to protect Ethernet connected storage without having to alter the storage infrastructure or deploy cumbersome clients. StorageSecure encrypts information based on defined business policies and securely stores the information without impacting ongoing operations or reducing information availability.
