The Bombardier Aerospace segment designs, manufactures, and supports aviation products, including business aircrafts; commercial aircraft comprising regional jets, turboprops, and single-aisle mainline jets; and specialized and amphibious aircrafts. This segment also provides aircraft parts, maintenance, and training services, as well as Flexjet fractional ownership and flight entitlement programs. The Bombardier Transportation segment designs, manufactures, and supports rail equipment and systems, such as passenger railcars, locomotives, light rail vehicles, and automated people movers. This segment also offers bogies, electric propulsion, control equipment, and maintenance services, as well as complete rail transportation systems and rail control solutions. The company was formerly known as Bombardier Limited. Bombardier Inc. was incorporated in 1902 and is headquartered in Montreal, Canada.

Bombardier Inc. Announces Closing of its New Issuance of Senior Notes Due 2019 and Senior Notes Due 2022

Bombardier Inc. announced that it has closed its issuance of $1.8 billion US aggregate principal amount of new Senior Notes. The issuance is comprised of $600 million US aggregate principal amount of company's Senior Notes due April 15, 2019, which carry a coupon of 4.75% per annum and were sold at par (2019 Notes), and $1.2 billion US aggregate principal amount of company's Senior Notes due October 15, 2022, which carry a coupon of 6.00% per annum and were sold at par (2022 Notes). The company intends to use the proceeds of this offering to finance the redemption of all of company's outstanding 7.25% Senior Notes due November 15, 2016 (2016 Notes) pursuant to an optional redemption following the closing of this offering, to finance the repayment at maturity of all of the corporation's outstanding 6.30% Notes due May 1, 2014, to pay fees and expenses related to this offering and the related transactions, and as to the remainder, for general corporate purposes.

Bombardier Aerospace Wins Contract for Two Q400 NextGen Turboprop Airliners from Hawaii Island Air, Inc

Bombardier Aerospace announced that Hawaii Island Air Inc. has placed a firm order for two Q400 NextGen turboprop airliners and has also taken options for four additional Q400 NextGen aircraft. The aircraft will be delivered with a dual-class, 71-seat configuration. Island Air is Hawaii's leading regional airline and second oldest carrier. Based on the list price of the Q400 NextGen airliner, the firm order is valued at approximately $60.9 million. The value could increase to $188 million should Island Air exercise all its options.

Nok Air Purchases Two More Bombardier Q400 NextGen Aircraft as Converts Options to Firm Orders

Bombardier Aerospace announced that Nok Air has converted two previously booked Q400 NextGen aircraft options to firm orders. The options were acquired under a contract announced on November 19, 2013 that also included two firm-ordered aircraft and four purchase rights. At that time, Bombardier also confirmed that Nok Air would be the launch customer for the new extra capacity seating option of the Q400 NextGen turboprop that will allow the aircraft to accommodate up to 86 passengers. Based on the list price of the Q400 NextGen airliner, the firm order is valued at approximately $64 million US.
