Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 28, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported total revenues of $76,248,000 against $81,902,000 a year ago. Loss before income taxes was $3,959,000 against $6,113,000 a year ago. Net loss was $4,302,000 against $6,218,000 a year ago. Diluted loss per common share was $0.25 against $0.38 a year ago. Adjusted net loss was $4,329,000 against $5,372,000 a year ago. Adjusted net loss per share was $0.25 against $0.33 a year ago. For the six months, the company reported total revenues of $174,189,000 against $186,167,000 a year ago. Income before income taxes was $1,346,000 against loss before income taxes of $6,003,000 a year ago. Net income was $722,000 against net loss of $6,205,000 a year ago. Diluted income per common share was $0.04 against EPS of $0.38 a year ago. Adjusted net income was $1,111,000 against adjusted net loss of $3,050,000 a year ago. Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. Announces Executive Resignations, Effective August 1, 2014

On July 9, 2014, Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. announced that Thomas Pinnau submitted his resignation from the Board of Directors of the Company, effective August 1, 2014. Mr. Pinnau has served on the Board since 2012. He currently serves as a member of the Audit Committee and the Compensation and Development Committee. The Company's Board has reduced the number of directors constituting the entire Board to seven directors pursuant to Section 2.1 of the Company's Amended and Restated Bylaws, effective immediately following the effective date of Mr. Pinnau's resignation from the Board on August 1, 2014. On July 7, 2014, David Finnegan notified the Company of his intention to resign his position as Chief Information Bear. Mr. Finnegan's resignation will be effective August 1, 2014.
