BrisConnections Reportedly In Talks With Buyers

BrisConnections Unit Trusts is in talks with potential buyers but at least one of its lenders is understood to be eyeing a rival sale plan. Macquarie Group Limited (ASX:MQG) has allegedly asked its co-lenders to consider floating the Airport Link tollroad in an effort to create some pricing tension.

AirportLink M7 May Be Auctioned

BrisConnections Unit Trusts' lenders are considering divesting the $1billion AirportLink M7. Receiver PPBAdvisory is now running AirportLink on behalf of the lending group and is considering the idea of running a sell-side mandate selection process in November, 2013. The auction is expected to attract interest from Goldman Sachs, Lazard, Rothschild, JPMorgan and RBCCapital Markets. Sources said that a sale was unlikely until this time next year or later.

BrisConnections Unit Trusts announced AirportlinkM7 traffic for the first quarter ended September 30, 2013. For the September quarter 2013, ADT was 53,236 up from 52,078 in the June 2013 quarter, and Average Weekday Traffic (AWDT) was 58,868 compared with 57,933 in the June quarter.
