Bergen Group ASA provides various products, services, and solutions to the offshore and maritime industry in Norway, Russia, and internationally. The company operates in three segments: Offshore, Shipbuilding, and Services. The Offshore segment provides offshore services, including periodical surveys of rigs, modifications, engineering and prefabrication, outfitting and commissioning, project management, personnel hiring, and yard services, as well as inspection, repair, and maintenance services to the oil and gas industry. The Shipbuilding segment builds offshore vessels, seismic and survey vessels, research vessels, special vessels, cruise ships, and passenger ships. It also provides rebuilding and conversion services. The Services segment is engaged in repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling ships, offshore installations, and diesel engines. Its services comprise docking and classification works; re-construction, outfitting, and extension works; machining works; surface treatment, sandblasting, metal works, and painting; steel and aluminum works; electrical installations; general maintenance; industrial maintenance; and quay services. This segment also recruits and hires staff for the shipbuilding industry; and supplies pipe installations for the ship, offshore, and land based industry. Bergen Group ASA is headquartered in Kleppestø, Norway.

Bergen Group ASA Receives Contract for 5-Year Class Renewal Survey on Borgland Dolphin

Bergen Group ASA has been awarded a contract from Dolphin Drilling AS for upgrades and 5-year Class Renewal Survey (CRS) on the semi-submersible production and exploration rig Borgland Dolphin. The project has an estimated revenue value in the range of NOK 350 million. The major work scope will be carried out in fourth quarter of 2014 in the dry dock at Hanøytangen, and the project will be accomplished by Bergen Group Hanøytangen in collaboration with Apply Rig & Modules.

Bergen Group ASA announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported operating revenues of NOK 438,592,000 against NOK 819,090,000 a year ago. Operating loss before depreciation and write-downs (LBITDA) was NOK 29,691,000 against NOK 111,688,000 a year ago. Operating loss (LBIT) was NOK 34,739,000 against NOK 152,079,000 a year ago.
