Barisan Gold Corporation Announces First Tranche of Assay Results for Hole UTD-007 at its Upper Tengkereng Gold-Copper Porphyry Discovery, Located in the Province of Aceh, Indonesia

Barisan Gold Corporation announced the first tranche of assay results for hole UTD-007 at its Upper Tengkereng gold-copper porphyry discovery, located in the Province of Aceh, Indonesia. Assays have been received from the first 800 metres of hole UTD-007. Hole UTD-007 was drilled with an azimuth of 220 degrees and an inclination of 87 degrees from a new drill platform located on the eastern edge of the first high-grade zone discovered at Upper Tengkereng. Hole UTD-007 was completed on July 9, 2014 at a final length of 1,185 metres. As a result of being drilled from a platform sitting outside the mineralized intrusive, in a direction back towards the deposit, UTD-007 entered mineralization 292 metres from surface. From 292 to 800 metres, UTD-007 returned 508 metres of 0.7 g/t gold + 0.4% copper (0.8% copper equivalent at current market prices). The high-grade chalcocite-chalcopyrite rich zone starts at the 510-metre mark and continues to the end of the assays received to-date. From 510 to 800 metres, UTD-007 returned 290 metres of 0.8 g/t gold + 0.5% copper (1.0% copper equivalent at current market prices). The high-grade mineralization remains open down hole at a depth below 800 metres with 144 metres towards the bottom of the intercept (from 644 to 788 metres) returning 0.9 g/t gold + 0.5% copper (1.1% copper equivalent at current market prices). The initial objective of hole UTD-007 was to drill a vertical hole into the first high-grade zone discovered at Upper Tengkereng in an attempt to determine the true vertical width of that high-grade zone as well as determine how close to surface the high-grade zone actually begins. This objective was unfortunately not met as the location of the drill pad emerged too far east of the deposit and high-grade zone. As a result a new drill platform has been built, directly above the high-grade zone from which UTD-010 is currently being drilled to achieve the original objective of UTD-007. Following completion of UTD-007, the rig was moved approximately 50 metres to the west to a newly built drill platform from which UTD-010 is currently being drilled. UTD-010 is being drilled at a 90 degree vertical angle. Drilling at hole UTD-009 began on July 16, 2014. As of July 21, 2014, UTD-010 had reach 198 metres in length and had not yet entered the high-grade zone.

Barisan Gold Corporation Announces the Second Tranche of Assay Results for Hole UTD-008 at its Upper Tengkereng Gold-Copper Porphyry Discovery, Located in the Province of Aceh, Indonesia

Barisan Gold Corporation announced the second tranche of assay results for hole UTD-008 at its Upper Tengkereng gold-copper porphyry discovery, located in the Province of Aceh, Indonesia. Assays have now been received from the first 600 meters of hole UTD-008 with the first 400 meters. UTD-008 was drilled parallel to UTD-002 but in an opposite direction, scissor crossing that hole, with an azimuth of 235 degrees and an inclination of 80 degrees from the same drill platform as UTD-005 & UTD-006. UTD-008 was completed on July 6, 2014 at a final length of 994 meters. Hole UTD-008 is mineralized 4 meters from surface and, as a whole, is the highest-grade hole drilled so far at Upper Tengkereng averaging over 0.9% copper equivalent (1.5g/t gold equivalent) over its entire length to-date. From 188 to 600 meters, UTD-008 returned 412 meters of 0.7g/t gold + 0.7% copper (1.1% copper equivalent at current market prices). High-grade mineralization remains open down hole at a depth below 600 meters with the final 32 meters of the intercept (from 568 to 600 meters) returning 0.9 g/t gold + 0.6% copper (1.2% copper equivalent at current market prices). The mineralization in hole UTD-008 can be generally characterized as follows: from 4 to 188 meters, top layer of advanced argillic altered hydro breccia mineralization, from 188 to 464 meters, high-grade covellite rich silica-pyrophyllite-alunite mineralization and from 464 to 600 meters, high-grade chalcocite-chalcopyrite mineralization. Hole UTD-008 has validated the high-grade zone initially intercepted in holes UTD-002 and UTD-006. Drilling to-date indicates this zone lies very close to surface (within 100 meters) and has a higher copper-to-gold ratio than the first high-grade zone discovered at depth in the eastern part of the deposit. This high-grade zone now covers an area of 100m x 100m at surface based on the three holes drilled to-date and is open in all directions. Drilling has commenced at hole UTD-009, which is seeking to identify the width of the high-grade zone on a north-south axis as all three holes so far have been drilled on an east-west axis. Following completion of UTD-008, the rig was moved approximately 50 meters to the south to a newly built drill platform from which UTD-009 is currently being drilled. UTD-009 is being drilled with an azimuth of 302 degrees and a dip of 50 degrees. Hole UTD-009 is the first hole to be drilled on a north-south axis into the high-grade zone validated in hole UTD-008. The objective of hole UTD-009 is to test the width of the high-grade covellite rich silica-pyrophyllite-alunite mineralization on a north-south basis. As the covellite rich zone sits within 500 meters from surface, UTD-009 is being drilled with a shallow dip, in an attempt to test the true width of the zone without exiting it vertically. Drilling at hole UTD-009 began on July 11, 2014. As of July 19, 2014, UTD-009 had reach 239 meters in length and visual indications are that it entered the high-grade covellite rich zone from approximately the 50-metre mark, which continues until the current position. If this is confirmed through assays, it will have intersected the high-grade zone 100 meters closer to surface than in previous holes. Later this week, the company anticipates to disclose initial assays for hole UTD-007, which was recently completed, as well as give an update on drilling at hole UTD-010. It should be noted that drilling is expected to be suspended at Upper Tengkereng from approximately July 27, 2014 to August 3, 2014 so that Barisan Gold's Indonesian employees can celebrate the Idul Fitri holiday with their respective families.

Barisan Gold Corporation Announces First Tranche of Assay Results from Upper Tengkereng Gold-Copper Porphyry Discovery

Barisan Gold Corporation announced the first tranche of assay results for hole UTD-008 at its Upper Tengkereng gold-copper porphyry discovery, located in the Province of Aceh, Indonesia. Assays have been received from the first 400 metres of hole UTD-008. Hole UTD-008 is being drilled parallel to UTD-002 but in an opposite direction, scissor crossing that hole, with the objective of expanding and further defining the second high grade zone discovered in holes UTD-002 and UTD-006. UTD-008 is mineralized 4 metres from surface. From 296 to 400 metres, UTD-008 returned 104 metres of 0.7 g/t gold + 1.0% copper (1.4% copper equivalent at current market prices) within a wider intercept of 212 metres of 0.6 g/t gold + 0.8% copper (1.1% copper equivalent at current market prices). The high-grade mineralization remains open down hole at a depth below 400 metres. Hole UTD-008, as a whole, is the highest-grade hole drilled so far at Upper Tengkereng averaging 0.9% copper equivalent over its entire length to-date and returning the first 100-metre long intercept of greater than 1% copper assays. In addition to further validating the second high-grade zone initially discovered in holes UTD-002 and UTD-006, UTD-008 has extended the high-grade zone further to the south by over 50 metres and further at depth by another 50 metres. The high-grade zone is not limited to the first 400 metres with indications it continues below that level. This second high-grade zone, returning mineralization above 1.0% copper equivalent, now covers an area of 100m x 100m at surface based on the three holes drilled to-date and is open in all directions. Further drilling in that area will seek to identify the width of the high-grade zone on a north-south axis as all three holes so far have been drilled on an east-west axis. Drilling continues at Upper Tengkereng despite minor technical issues at both UTD-007 and UTD-008 that impacted drilling over the past couple of weeks. Drilling at UTD-007 was interrupted for one week in early June due to technical issues with the rig. Since June 15, 2014, drilling is back to normal and as of June 21, 2014 drilling had reached 773 metres in length. UTD-007 is testing the depths of the first high-grade zone discovered in the eastern part of the deposit. Drilling at UTD-008 was interrupted for a 10-day period in early June due to technical issues with the rig. Since June 17, 2014, drilling is back to normal and as of June 21, 2014, drilling had reached 640 metres in length. Visual interpretation indicates that the high-grade zone continues at depth below 400 metres. Barisan Gold retained the laboratory services of PT Intertek Utama Services of Jakarta, Indonesia, which, in the case of UTD-008, employed the fire assay method (FA50) on gold samples and for other precious and base metal analyses, ICP with multi acid digestion.
