Its drilling and evaluation products and services also include wire line services, such as tools for open hole and cased hole well logging to gather data to perform petro physical and geophysical analysis; reservoir evaluation coring; casing perforation; fluid characterization; production logging; well integrity testing; pipe recovery; and seismic and micro seismic services. In addition, the company provides completion and production products and services comprising completion systems used to control the flow of hydrocarbons within a wellbore; wellbore intervention products and services to enhance the performance of existing wellbores; intelligent production system products and services to monitor and control the production from individual wells or fields; artificial lifts, such as electric submersible pump systems, progressing cavity pump systems, gas lift systems, and surface horizontal pumping systems to lift oil and water; chemicals and chemical application systems; and cementing, stimulation, and coil tubing services. Further, it offers industrial products and services to the downstream chemicals, and process and pipeline industries. The company operates in approximately 80 countries. Baker Hughes Incorporated was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Baker Hughes Incorporated Announces Executive Changes

Baker Hughes Incorporated and Halliburton Company have entered into an Agreement and Plan of Merger, pursuant to which, subject to the satisfaction or waiver of certain conditions, the company will be merged with and into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Halliburton. On December 4, 2014, the following appointments were made in connection with the Merger: President of Global Products and Services, Belgacem Chariag, to the role of Vice President, Chief Integration Officer to lead the company's integration team and President of Completions and Wellbore Intervention and Richard Ward to the role of acting President of Global Products and Services. Mr. Chariag, age 52, has served as President of Global Products and Services since October 2013 and Vice President of the Company since 2009. Mr. Ward, age 46, has served as President of Completions and Wellbore Intervention of the company since 2012, Region President for Asia Pacific from 2009 to 2012, Vice President for Baker Oil Tools in the Middle East Asia Pacific region from 2007 to 2009.

Halliburton Company and Baker Hughes Incorporated Announces Executive Changes

Halliburton Company announced its Board of Directors has appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Mark McCollum to the new role of Executive Vice President and Chief Integration Officer. In this capacity, he will serve as head of the Joint Integration Team that Halliburton and Baker Hughes Incorporated are assembling in connection with Halliburton's pending acquisition of Baker Hughes. Mr. McCollum will continue reporting to Dave Lesar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Halliburton, and will remain a member of the company's Executive Committee. Christian Garcia, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, will become Senior Vice President of Finance and assume Mr. McCollum's CFO responsibilities on an interim basis. It is anticipated that Mr. McCollum will resume his CFO duties at the conclusion of the two companies' integration. Mr. Garcia will report to Mr. Lesar and will join Halliburton's Executive Committee. Charlie Geer, currently Vice President of Finance, will become Vice President and Corporate Controller and will take over Mr. Garcia's accounting responsibilities on an interim basis as well. He will continue reporting to Mr. Garcia. The new roles are effective January 1, 2015. Belgacem Chariag, President of Global Products and Services for Baker Hughes, will serve as lead for Baker Hughes on the Joint Integration Team. On Nov. 17, Halliburton and Baker Hughes jointly announced a definitive agreement under which Halliburton will, subject to the conditions set out in the agreement, acquire Baker Hughes in a stock and cash transaction.
