The company’s Investment Services segment provides custody and related services, broker-dealer services, collateral services, corporate trust and depositary receipt, and clearing services, as well as payment/working capital solutions to financial institutional clients. This segment’s financial solutions include custody, fund services, securities lending, investment manager outsourcing, performance and risk analytics, alternative investment services, securities clearance, collateral management, corporate trust, depositary receipt programs, cash management solutions, payment services, liquidity services and other linked revenues, foreign exchange, clearing and execution, managed account services, and prime brokerage solutions. This segment serves corporations, public funds and government agencies, foundations, and endowments; financial institutions, including banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance companies, and central banks; financial intermediaries and independent registered investment advisors; and hedge fund managers. The company is also involved in credit-related activities, business exits, leasing operations, and corporate treasury activities; and the provision of global markets and institutional banking services. The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation was founded in 1784 and is headquartered in New York, New York.

BNY Mellon Announces Executive Changes

BNY Mellon has named Filippo Santilli as new head of Asia-Pacific sales and relationship management for its global collateral services business. Based in Hong Kong, Santilli will report to Jonathan Spirgel, executive vice-president - global collateral services in New York alongside Dominick Falco, head of global collateral services - Asia-Pacific. Santilli, who has over 15 years of institutional sales experience, has joined BNY Mellon in 2009 most recently serving as managing director of liquidity services for the Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Santilli worked at Lehman Brothers Asset Management as a product specialist in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for building the firm's liquidity business.

BNY Mellon Names Kevin McCarthy as Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel

BNY Mellon named Kevin McCarthy as new senior executive vice president and general counsel, effective April 15, 2014. McCarthy will report to BNY Mellon Chairman and CEO Gerald L. Hassell and will become a member of the BNY Mellon Executive Committee. McCarthy, currently the company's Senior Deputy General Counsel, succeeds Jane Sherburne, who has decided to leave BNY Mellon to consider opportunities in both the public and private sectors. McCarthy joined BNY Mellon in 2010 from Cowen Group Inc.

PGGM Vermogensbeheer B.V. Appoints BNY Mellon as AIFMD Depositary

BNY Mellon has been appointed by PGGM Vermogensbeheer B.V. to provide depositary services under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive for assets valued at EUR 14 billion. In addition to safekeeping the funds' assets, which are held within five fixed income investment funds, BNY Mellon will provide oversight functions and perform cash monitoring as required by AIFMD. PGGM provides pension management, integrated asset management, management support and policy advice for pension funds. PGGM manages about EUR 160 billion assets on behalf of more than 2.5 million Dutch participants.
