The company’s Investment Services segment provides custody and related services, broker-dealer services, collateral services, corporate trust and depositary receipt, and clearing services, as well as payment/working capital solutions to financial institutional clients. This segment’s financial solutions include custody, fund services, securities lending, investment manager outsourcing, performance and risk analytics, alternative investment services, securities clearance, collateral management, corporate trust, depositary receipt programs, cash management solutions, payment services, liquidity services and other linked revenues, foreign exchange, clearing and execution, managed account services, and prime brokerage solutions. This segment serves corporations, public funds and government agencies, foundations, and endowments; financial institutions, including banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance companies, and central banks; financial intermediaries and independent registered investment advisors; and hedge fund managers. The company is also involved in credit-related activities, business exits, leasing operations, and corporate treasury activities; and the provision of global markets and institutional banking services. The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation was founded in 1784 and is headquartered in New York, New York.

BNY Mellon said that it has appointed Lynne Marlor as head of the Specialised Industries sales & relationship management team for BNY Mellon's Treasury Services business. Previously deputy head of sales for investment managers, Marlor will be responsible in her new role for sales & relationship management services in the large corporate, public and non-profit industry segments in North America. Marlor joined BNY Mellon in 2003 after several years with First Chicago/BankOne.

BNY Mellon Names Douglas Hymas as New Country Executive for Japan

BNY Mellon announced that the company has hired Douglas Hymas as new Country Executive for Japan. In addition, Hymas has also been appointed as General Manager of the company's Tokyo branch. In his new role, Hymas will serve as the Chief Strategist, Leader and Senior Representative for BNY Mellon's business groups with regulators and clients. Hymas will report to Gregory Roath, the company's Asia-Pacific head of global client management. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Hymas most recently served as President and Chief Executive of ING Mutual Funds Investment Company (Japan).

BNY Mellon Appoints Michael Gordon to Head New Retirement and Strategic Solutions Group

BNY Mellon announced that it has named Michael Gordon to head its new Retirement and Strategic Solutions group. This unit is dedicated to meeting current retirement needs, anticipating next-generation needs and developing customized, comprehensive and transformational investment solutions for its clients. Most recently, Gordon was Managing Director of Non-Traditional Solutions and Special Situations for BNY Mellon Investment Management. In that role, he led and will continue to lead the Home Equity Retirement Solutions business, which plans to purchase, securitize and service reverse mortgages and provide advisory services to brokers, financial advisors and asset managers on how reverse mortgages fit into retirement planning. Prior to BNY Mellon, Gordon was an executive at New York Life Insurance Company. Gordon will report to Mustin.
