bowleven plc (BO2) Key Developments

Bowleven Terminates Etinde Alliance with Petrofac

Bowleven has reached a settlement with service provider Petrofac to terminate its strategic alliance with the company under which Petrofac would have helped fund the Etinde project in Cameroon. The strategic alliance agreement, which was signed in November 2012 by Bowleven and by Petrofac's Integrated Energy Services division which pioneered a business model under which the service provider takes on upstream risk, envisaged that Petrofac would invest up to $500 million in the project and would be remunerated through a share of Bowleven's production revenue. The project would also provide work for Petrofac's larger engineering, construction, operations and maintenance unit. As a result of the settlement, Bowleven will pay Petrofac a $9 million termination fee. The termination agreement is subject to completion of the farm-out.

LUKOIL Eyes Acquisition Of Stake In Offshore Project

Open Joint Stock Company Oil company LUKOIL (MICEX:LKOH) plans to purchase 37.5% in the Etinde offshore field development project in Cameroon from Bowleven plc (AIM:BLVN) which also intends to sell another stake in the project to New Age.
