Bowmore Explorations Ltd. Starts Drill Program at La Scie Gold Property

Bowmore Explorations Ltd. announced that it has obtained all necessary permits and licenses for its Phase One drill program on the La Scie Gold property, located on the eastern extremity of the Baie Verte peninsula in Newfoundland. The objective of the Phase One 1,500 metre diamond drill program will be to (1) test the three gold zones (Burton, Isaiah, and Jonah) that have thus far been identified on the property, (2) test the broad zone of high purity silica averaging 99.4% SiO2 following the summer-fall 2013 regional rock sampling program. The high purity silica zone is part of an E-W trending, 2,500 metre-long silicified zone and is exposed on surface with a minimum length of 290 metres by 3.5 to 15 metres in apparent width.

Bowmore Explorations Ltd. Announces Update on Rock Sampling Program on the La Scie Gold Property

Bowmore Explorations Ltd. announced that it has discovered a broad zone of high purity silica averaging 99.4% SiO2 following the summer-fall 2013 regional rock sampling program on the La Scie Gold property, located on the eastern extremity of the Baie Verte peninsula in Newfoundland. The La Scie Gold project is a grass-roots gold exploration program, initiated in mid-2013, that is primarily targeting high grade gold showings initially reported in 2012. The high purity silica zone is part of an E-W trending, 2,500 metre-long silicified zone that was sampled for gold but returned very low to nil gold values. Bowmore 's chief geologist however observed that a portion of the silicified body was snow -white and showed potential for high purity silica, used notably in the production of silicon metal and ferrosilicon alloys. The zone as exposed on surface has a minimum length of 290 metres by 3.5 to 15 metres in apparent width. All results for BaO, MgO, MnO, P2O5, SrO oxides and S (sulfur) returned values below detection limit (<0.01%). The three gold zones (Burton, Isaiah, and Jonah) that have thus far been identified on the property will also be the object of a winter drill program. Samples reported above were sent for analysis at ALS Minerals laboratory in Val D'Or, Qc . During preparation, all samples were fine crushed to 70% at <2mm, split to 50g and pulverized to 70 microns with a tungsten carbide jaw pulverizer to avoid iron and titanium contamination. lithium borate-fused subsample of 0.66g was used for the analysis of 14 major element oxides by X -Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy (ME-XRF26). The sulfur was obtained by using a subsample of 0.01 to 0.1g that was heated in an induction furnace and measured with an IR (infrared) detection system. The loss of ignition (LOI) was obtained by thermogravimetric analysis after combustion furnace at 1000 degrees (ME -GRA05x) of a subsample of 2g. The SiO2 analysis was done using a gravimetric determination method (Si -Con02) by dissolving a 0.5g subsample with sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid. To ensure higher accuracy, the SiO2 results correspond to an average of two analyses per sample. For QaQc protocols, ALS Minerals inserted one blank that was analyzed for each method of analysis mentioned above and compared results with two duplicates and standards.

Bowmore Explorations Ltd. Discovers Several Broad Zones of Anomalous Gold Values Following Summer-Fall 2013 Regional Rock Sampling Program on the La Scie Gold Property, on the Eastern Extremity of the Baie Verte Peninsula in Newfoundland

Bowmore Explorations Ltd. announced that it has discovered several broad zones of anomalous gold values following a summer-fall 2013 regional rock sampling program on the La Scie Gold property, located on the eastern extremity of the Baie Verte peninsula in Newfoundland. The La Scie Gold project is a grass-roots exploration program, initiated in mid-2013, that targeted high grade gold showings reported in 2012. A 1,000 sample program covering about 113km led to the discovery of three gold zones (Burton, Isaiah, and Jonah) that are spread aver a total distance of 1,800 metres. Values from chip samples from these three zones have assayed as high as 56.5, 1.7 and 6.6 g/t Au, respectively. Mineralization consists of disseminated pyrite-gold in sericite shists and felsic tuff that are also cut by auriferous quartz veins. The Jonah showing is located within a zone of pyritized and silicified felsic volcanics that covers an area measuring 2,300 metres in length and 100 to 350 metres in width, suggesting the presence of a large hydrothermal system. The La Scie Gold property now includes 455 claims covering 11,375 hectares, staked within two major claim blocks. Bowmore is presently conducting a details soil and rock sample program on the property over the three main showings to better define the mineralized zones and to identify drill targets for early winter 2014. Samples were sent for analysis at Accurassay's main facility in Sudbury, ON where 50 g aliquots were analyzed by Fire Assay with an atomic absorption finish (FA/AAS). For QaQc protocols, Accurassay inserted duplicates every 10 samples. During sampling, Bowmore took a witness of each sample for any further verification and reference.
