The board of B.P. Marsh & Partners PLC announced the appointment of Campbell Richard Scoones as a Non-Executive Director and member of the Remuneration Committee with immediate effect. Campbell Scoones, aged 65, has over 45 years' experience in the Lloyd's and overseas insurance broking and underwriting markets. Having started his career in 1966 Campbell has worked for a number of Lloyd's insurance broking and underwriting firms during this time, including, Nelson Hurst & Marsh, Citicorp Investment Limited, Marsh & McLennan Companies and Admiral/Encon Underwriting.

B.P. Marsh & Partners PLC announced that following five years' service as a Non-Executive Director, Natasha Dunbar will be resuming an Executive role on the Board of the company with immediate effect. Natasha originally joined the company in 1994, and was appointed as the company's Managing Director in March 2002 prior to her appointment as Non-Executive Director in February 2008. As a result of her change in roles, Natasha will resign her position upon the company's Remuneration Committee and will be appointed as a member of the Investment Committee, with immediate effect.

B.P. Marsh & Partners PLC reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended July 31, 2012. For the six months, the company reported gains on investment of £2,218,000 compared to gains on investment of £2,380,000 for the same period a year ago. Income was £779,000 compared to £764,000 last year. Net income of gains on investment was £2,997,000 compared to £3,144,000 last year. Operating income was £2,270,000 compared to £2,383,000 last year. Profit on ordinary activities before exceptional items was £2,153,000 compared to £2,369,000 last year. Profit on ordinary activities before taxation was £2,153,000 compared to £2,339,000 last year. Profit on ordinary activities after taxation attributable to equity holders was £2,207,000 or 7.5 pence per basic and diluted share compared to £2,008,000 or 6.9 pence per basic and diluted share last year. Net cash from operating activities was £146,000 compared net cash used in operating activities of £51,000 last year. Net asset value was 178 pence per share, an increase of 12% from 166 pence at July 31, 2011.
