Coca-Cola Partnership to Create Biggest Bottler in Africa

The Coca-Cola Company announced a partnership to form its soft drinks bottling company in Africa, serving high growth countries on the continent. The Coca-Cola company together with SABMiller and Gutsche Family Investment, will join forces to form Coca-Cola Beverages Africa. It will be majority owned by SABMiller with a 57% stake, Gutsche Family Investments with 31.7% and The Coca-Cola Company with 11.3%. The new bottling company to be headquarted in South Africa will initially produce and distribute Coca-Cola beverages in nine countries, including Kenya, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, Namibia, Comoros and Mayotte.

SABMiller plc Declares Interim Dividend, Payable on 5 December 2014

The board of SABMiller plc has declared a cash interim dividend of 26.0 cents per share, an increase of 4%. The dividend will be payable on 5 December 2014 to shareholders registered on the London and Johannesburg registers on 28 November 2014. The last date to trade cum dividend will be 26 November 2014 on the London Stock Exchange and 21 November 2014 on the JSE Limited. The ex-dividend trading dates will be 27 November 2014 on the London Stock Exchange and 24 November 2014 on the JSE Limited.
