Cascades Inc., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the production, conversion, and marketing of packaging and tissue products primarily in Canada, the United States, and Europe. It operates in four segments: Containerboard, Boxboard Europe, Specialty Products, and Tissue Papers. The company manufactures coated boxboards and folding cartons; manufactures containerboards and boxboards, as well as converts corrugated and folding carton products for the food, beverage, and consumer products industries; and provides graphic art and printing plate services. It also offers industrial packaging products, including roll headers and paperboard packaging products for rolls of newspaper; roll edges; specialty containers and laminated boards for furniture backing; honeycomb paperboards; uncoated paperboard partitions for beer, wine, and glass container producers; and uncoated recycled paperboards for packaging converters and industrial users of headers and wrappers. In addition, the company provides consumer product packaging products comprising polystyrene foam food packaging, plates, and bowls; egg filler flats and beverage carry trays; decking boards; furnishings for outdoor use; wrappers for packaging coins; and film packaging products. Further, it offers backing for vinyl flooring; specialized kraft paper, such as butcher paper, paper for envelopes, paper for asphalt coating, and paper that withstands grease or moisture; de-inked pulp for the production of tissue and fine paper; and uncoated fine paper for copying, business forms, and envelopes, as well as provides various services to recover and process discarded materials for municipal, graphic, industrial, commercial, consumer products, and institutional sectors. Additionally, the company provides bathroom and facial tissues, paper towels and napkins, paper hand towels, parent rolls, industrial wipes, and other related products. Cascades Inc. was founded in 1964 and is headquartered in Kingsey Falls, Canada.
