Cable Corp. of India Ltd. reported unaudited earnings results third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company’s total income was INR 294.3 million compared to INR 587.2 million for the same period in 2011. Loss from ordinary activities before tax was INR 96.3 million compared to INR 6.9 million for the same period in 2011. Net loss was INR 96.3 million or INR 1.24 per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary items compared to INR 6.9 million or INR 0.09 per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary items for the same period in 2011. Loss from operations before other income, interest and exceptional items of INR 10.0 million compared to profit of INR 78.1 million for the last year. For the nine months, the company’s total income was INR 928.3 million compared to INR 1,529.6 million for the same period in 2011. Loss from ordinary activities before tax was INR 320.8 million compared to INR 98.2 million for the same period in 2011. Net loss was INR 320.8 million or INR 4.15 per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary items compared to INR 98.2 million or INR 1.27 per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary items for the same period in 2011.
