Cantex Mine Development Corp. Provides Drill Program Progress at Yukon Gold Project

Cantex Mine Development Corp. provided a progress report for its 100% owned Yukon gold project. Rotary air blast (RAB) drilling through shallow alpine glacial till overburden into bedrock is continuing at its North Rackla claim block in the Yukon. To date 169 holes have intersected bedrock and of these 43 have encountered bedrock which is anomalous in arsenic as determined by x-ray fluorescence analysis conducted in the field. As arsenic, and other key pathfinder elements for Carlin-style mineralization, always accompanies anomalous gold in soil-talus samples from the North Rackla claims, it is anticipated that anomalous gold should be present in samples from the 43 holes which are anomalous in arsenic. Bedrock samples from all 43 holes anomalous in arsenic have been sent to the C.F. Mineral Research laboratory for crushing, splitting and pulverizing. The drill samples that have recently arrived should have this preparation complete within a few days and sent to ALS Chemex for fire assay for gold as well as analysis for silver and other elements.

Cantex Mine Development Corp. Provides Progress Report on Yukon Gold Project

Cantex Mine Development Corp. provided a progress report for its 100% owned Yukon gold project. The company has recently completed 48 rotary air blast (RAB) drill holes in an area covered in alpine glacial tills highly anomalous in gold, arsenic and antimony. The anomalous gold in the tills is in all cases accompanied by arsenic and the other key pathfinder elements indicative of Carlin-style mineralization. The company is able to detect the presence of anomalous arsenic in the drill holes but gold and other pathfinder elements can only be quantified by sending the samples to an off site analytical laboratory for sample preparation and analysis. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyses conducted in the field have identified anomalous arsenic in cuttings from 23 drill holes. The anomalous arsenic has been encountered in carbonate bedrock and overburden samples. This is encouraging because the presence of arsenic as detected by XRF analyses in the field suggests that anomalous gold values will be present when analytical laboratory results are complete. Samples are now being prepared for shipment from the field to CF Mineral Research Ltd, where they will undergo sample preparation in advance of being sent to Activation Laboratories Ltd. for analysis. Results are expected in late September.

Cantex Mine Development Corp. Announces Commencement of Work at Yukon Gold Project

Cantex Mine Development Corp. reported that field work has commenced at its 100% owned Yukon gold project. The company has commenced a field program on the 13.5 km by 14.5 km North Rackla gold claim block in the Yukon designed to locate Carlin-style gold mineralization detected by the heavy mineral sampling and detailed soil-talus sampling previously completed on the project areas. In 2014, nearly 4,000 soil-talus samples have already been collected on the North Rackla claims. Twenty seven areas anomalous in gold and key pathfinder elements along 200 meter spaced soil-talus lines are scheduled to be sampled tightening the line spacing to 50 meters. One of these areas already sampled focuses on a 250 meter apparent width and an as of yet undetermined strike length returned exceptionally anomalous and consistent results in gold and key Carlin style pathfinder elements (arsenic, antimony and thallium). The samples over two priority areas have now been received by CF Mineral Research Ltd, where they will undergo sample preparation in advance of being sent to Activation Laboratories Ltd. for analysis. This detailed soil-talus sampling program is continuing on North Rackla and will shift to the Mt Good claim block when complete. An induced polarization and resistivity geophysical survey over the aforementioned high priority area is scheduled to commence this week to assist in defining drill targets. A rotary air blast drill has been mobilized to Mayo, Yukon in preparation for a follow up program to define the bedrock source of these anomalies. A desktop XRF instrument capable of detecting pathfinder elements (which accompany gold in Carlin-style deposits) will be used to analyze bedrock drill cuttings so that the areal extent of the mineralization can be defined in the field prior to laboratory preparation and analysis. Management is most encouraged by the results to date on the project, showing the potential for additional Carlin-style mineralization within the district, and look forward to drill testing.
