COM DEV International Ltd. designs, manufactures, and distributes space hardware in Canada, the United States, Europe, and internationally. It operates through Equipment and Data Services segments. The company offers ferrite switches to perform receiver protection, antenna routing, and redundancy switching functions; and S-Band TT&C transponder for low earth orbit (LEO) missions. It also provides telemetry, tracking, and command transceivers, which offer two-way radio communication between a spacecraft and ground infrastructure; and C-band downlink transmitters that provide downlink to ground infrastructure. In addition, the company offers microwave products, such as multiplexers and filters; microwave passive ancillary hardware products, including filters, couplers, circulators and terminations operating from UHF to Ka band; and electromechanical waveguide and coaxial switches for routing signals and connecting back-up equipment. Further, it provides surface acoustic wave products for space, Hi-Rel, and commercial applications; and Aero Satcom that allows transmission and reception of satellite signals. Additionally, it provides SB-Sat Terminal, a LEO spacecraft system; Sapphire, a space surveillance satellite to track man-made space objects in high earth orbit; and microsatellites for microspace solutions. The company also offers space science and remote sensing services comprising engineering, optical/radio frequency design, thermal and structural analysis, electronics design, embedded software development, ground support equipment, integration and test, and flight operations support. It sells its products to satellite prime contractors and government agencies for use in commercial communications, military/defense communications, and space science satellites. The company was formerly known as COM DEV Holdings Ltd. and changed its name to COM DEV International Ltd. in April 1994. COM DEV International Ltd. is headquartered in Cambridge, Canada.

COM DEV International Ltd. announced that it has been awarded a fully-funded contract valued at approximately $6 million to deliver Ku-band equipment, including multiplexers, switches and ancillary equipment to be used on a high throughput communications satellite. The satellite is being built to replace an existing satellite and provide direct-to-home television broadcasting and telecom services throughout Asia. In addition, it will have multiple beams enabling it to provide broadband services in an area encompassing Africa to Russia, Japan and Australia. Work on the contract will be carried out at the Company's facility in Cambridge, Ontario with completion expected by October, 2015.

COM DEV International Ltd. Wins Commercial Contract for High Throughput Communications Satellite

COM DEV International Ltd. announced that it has been awarded a fully funded contract in excess of $13 million to deliver Ka-band equipment, including multiplexers, switches and microwave equipment to be used on a high throughput communications satellite. The satellite is being built to add needed capacity to data communication users in Europe and Africa and address additional markets there and in the Americas. In addition to fixed beams it will also have steerable beams that can be directed to different regions depending on market demand. Work on the contract will be carried out at the Company's facility in Cambridge, Ontario with completion expected by November 2015.
