CellaVision AB (publ) develops and sells systems for routine analysis of blood and other body fluids in health care services sector. Its products include CellaVision DM96 and CellaVision DM1200, which automatically performs a preliminary differential count on peripheral blood or body fluid smears, as well as pre-classifies the white blood cells, pre-characterizes parts of the red morphology, and provides functionality for platelet estimation; and CellaVision DM96 Vet blood analyzer. The company’s software and tool products comprise CellaVision Body Fluid Application for analyzing body fluids, including cerebrospinal, peritoneal, and pleural fluids on the CellaVision DM96; CellaVision Remote Review Software that enables remote users to access analyzed slides and reclassify cells and sign slides from another location; CellaVision Proficiency Software, a Web-based program for testing of blood and body fluid differentials; CellaVision Image Capture System, which allows small labs performing differentials to streamline patient care, and to digitize their blood samples; and CellAtlas, a mobile application for training, as well as CellaVision Remote Review Software Vet software and tool. It also offers CellaVision Light Tower that provides visual and audible signals of the status of a CellaVision DM Analyzer; HemaPrep, an automated blood smearing instrument for blood cell analysis; and barcode label printer kit for reading and copying barcodes and generating barcode labels. The company sells its products to hospital laboratories and independent commercial laboratories in Europe, North America, and Asia. CellaVision AB (publ) was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Lund, Sweden.

Negative result before income tax was SEK 1.202 million against result before income tax of SEK 6.585 million a year ago. Net loss was SEK 1.202 million against net profit of SEK 4.853 million a year ago.
CellaVision AB announced that Magnus Blixt has been appointed Chief Financial Officer effective May 2, 2013. Magnus Blixt will take overall responsibility for the group's Finance and Administration function and will be part of the management team. Magnus Blixt has extensive experience in running small and medium sized companies focusing business performance and process improvements. He most recently held the position as Business Demand Manager at SKF AB. Previous experience includes a position as CFO at SKF Polyseal Inc. in the U.S., Operations Manager and Business Controller at SKF Sealing Solutions ESP and a number of economic and finance positions, including Rotaform AB. Magnus Blixt succeeds SvenÅke Henningsson, Member of the Board, who has been Acting CFO since September 2012.
