Caely Holdings Bhd announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported profit before taxation of MYR 562,756 and profit attributable to owners of the company of MYR 356,289 or 0.4 sen per basic share on revenue of MYR 24,113,792 compared to loss before taxation of MYR 280,255 and loss attributable to owners of the company of MYR 246,540 or 0.3 sen per basic share on revenue of MYR 13,618,563 a year ago period. The Group's after tax profit declined marginally compared to the immediate preceding quarter due to higher provision for inventories of MYR 1.0 million. The increase in profit was mainly attributable to higher revenue generated by the OEM and Property and Construction segments and better margin from sales mix of the OEM segment. The increase in revenue was mainly contributed by the property and construction segment and OEM segment while the direct selling segment recorded a decline of MYR 0.4 million. For the nine months, the company reported profit before taxation of MYR 1,328,767 and profit attributable to owners of the company of MYR 1,028,967 or 1.3 sen per basic share on revenue of MYR 67,965,136 compared to loss before taxation of MYR 2,012,114 and loss attributable to owners of the company of MYR 1,932,251 or 2.4 sen per basic share on revenue of MYR 42,583,428 a year ago period. Cash flows used in operating activities was MYR 3,265,639 against MYR 4,766,163 a year ago period. Investments in property, plant and equipment was MYR 490,440 against MYR 430,654 a year ago period. The improvement of the profit after tax was mainly due to the contribution by the OEM and Property and Construction segments.

The increase in revenue of MYR 6 7 million was mainly contributed by the property and construction segment MYR 5 6 million and OEM segment MYR 2 4 million while the direct selling segment recorded a decline of MYR 1 2 million. Profit from operations was MYR 741,916 against MYR 788,381 for the same period in the last year. Profit before taxation was MYR 575,716 against MYR 609,137 for the same period in the last year. Profit attributable to owners of the company was MYR 426,097 against MYR 622,778 for the same period in the last year. Earnings per basic share were 0.5 sen against 0.8 sen for the same period in the last year. The slight drop in profit was mainly attributable to higher operating costs incurred in the OEM segment and lower sales volume in the direct sales segment. However, the contribution by the property and construction segment and the disposal of the loss making subsidiary, Avana Technologies M Sdn Bhd, help alleviate the decline in the profit after tax . For the six months, the company reported revenue of MYR 44,851,345 against MYR 28,964,865 for the same period in the last year. Profit from operations was MYR 1,095,458 against loss from operations of MYR 1,391,443 for the same period in the last year. Profit before taxation was MYR 766,010 against loss before taxation of MYR 1,731,858 for the same period in the last year. Profit attributable to owners of the company was MYR 672,677 against loss attributable to owners of the company of MYR 1,685,710 for the same period in the last year. The improvement of the profit after tax was mainly due to the contribution by the property and construction segment and the disposal of the said subsidiary company. Earnings per basic share were 0.8 sen against loss per basic share of 2.1 sen for the same period in the last year. Negative net operating cash flow was MYR 1,411,749 against MYR 184,067 for the same period in the last year. Property, plant and equipment payments for acquisition were MYR 318,067 against MYR 421,159 for the same period in the last year. Capital expenditure was MYR 352,067 against MYR 711,159 for the same period in the last year.
