The company produces and distributes livestock feed in the forms of concentrate, powder, and pellets for broilers, layers, swine, and duck; and shrimp and fish feed. It also engages in animal breeding, animal farming, and meat processing operations. The company provides live animals, including live swine, live chicken, and live ducks; products from live animals, such as chicken eggs, duck eggs, live shrimp, and live fish; and basic processed meat. In addition, it manufactures food products, such as semi-cooked meat, fully-cooked meat, and ready-to-eat products. Further, the company is involved in the import and distribution of animal feed raw material, feedstuff additives, animal vaccines, processed meat and ready meals, and seafood products; investment and international trading; and wholesale and retail of food products, as well as broiler chicken integration and aquaculture integration activities. Additionally, it engages in training center, information technology, transportation, and restaurant businesses. The company also exports meat, semi-cooked meat, fully-cooked meat, and ready-to-eat products under the CP brand to approximately 40 countries. Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand.

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Co. Ltd. reported consolidated and standalone earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013. For the period, on consolidated basis, the company reported net profit of THB 1,026,336,000 or THB 0.14 per share against THB 12,112,817,000 or THB 1.76 per share a year ago. For the period, on standalone basis, the company reported net profit of THB 1,293,475,000 or THB 0.17 per share against THB 928,450,000 or THB 0.13 per share a year ago.

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Co. Ltd. Approves Second Dividend Payment for the Year 2012, Payable on May 23, 2013

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Co. Ltd. at its Annual General Shareholders' Meeting, held on April 24, 2013, approved the second dividend payment for the year 2012 at THB 0.50 per share for 7,742,941,932 ordinary shares, which have the rights to receive the dividend, totaling THB 3,871,470,966.00. The record date for the right to receive the dividend is set on May 8, 2013 and the share register book shall be closed on May 9, 2013 for Thailand Securities Depository Co. Ltd. to collect the shareholders' names in compliance with Section 225 of the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535. Additionally, the dividend payment will be made on May 23, 2013.

Charoen Pokphand Mulls Acquisitions

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Co. Ltd. (CPF) is seeking investment opportunities in the US and Europe, where distressed assets are available and economies are beginning to recover. Adirek Sripratak, President and Chief Executive Officer of Charoen Pokphand, said that CPF is looking to invest in the US retail and food sectors, with negotiations pending. More details have yet to be disclosed. Mr Adirek said CPF alone will spend THB 75 billion over the next five years, half of which will go to expanding its international feed, farm and food interests and the investments will be funded by the CPF's capital and borrowings from financial institutions.
