FuzeBox, Internet2 Offer HD Video Conferencing Service to All Non-Profit Universities, Colleges, Schools and Research Organizations in the United States

FuzeBox and Internet2 announced availability of a cloud-based video conferencing and collaboration service offering for any non-profit university, college, educational or research institution in the United States. FuzeBox delivers high-definition (HD) video conferencing, web conferencing and voice conferencing from mobile devices, desktops, conference rooms and classrooms. It also connects traditional video conferencing and telepresence systems from Cisco, Polycom, Tandberg, LifeSize, Radvision and others in one-to-one and group video calls. FuzeBox can be used via a web browser or through FuzeBox client applications on Windows, Mac and Linux devices, iPad and Android tablets and iOS and Android smart phones.

FuzeBox Announces Executive Appointments

FuzeBox named former Yammer and Salesforce.com executive David Obrand as CEO. Prior to joining FuzeBox, Obrand was Chief Customer Officer at Yammer, playing an instrumental role in the company's explosive growth and eventual acquisition by Microsoft for $1.2 billion in 2012. Prior to Yammer, Obrand spent a decade at Salesforce.com. Obrand will join the FuzeBox board of directors, along with Bobby Yerramilli-Rao, founder and partner at Hermes Growth Partners. Joining Obrand, former Yammer and Salesforce.com sales leader Mary Pecka was named Chief Customer Officer and will lead worldwide sales operations and customer engagement. Former Yammer and Microsoft executive Georg Ell was named Vice President and General Manager, EMEA and will lead international expansion beginning with the European market. Former Yammer finance executive Jonathan Grant was named Vice President of Finance and will be leading finance, accounting and investor relations.

FuzeBox, Inc. Announces Management Hires

FuzeBox, Inc. announced two major hires in Amritansh Raghav, former engineering director for Google Compute Engine, and Eran Shtiegman, former director of product management at Skype. Mr. Raghav will serve as the new SVP of Engineering and Chief Security Officer, while Mr. Shtiegman joins FuzeBox as the VP of Product and User Experience. The duo has worked together before, both having held leadership roles at Microsoft where they co-founded Lync. Their combined experience and expertise will add rocket fuel to FuzeBox's vision of bringing an immersive video and audio conferencing experience to enterprises worldwide. Before being recruited by Google, Mr. Raghav spent 12 years at Microsoft where he led the mobile UC and Lync divisions as General Manager. At Google, he directed the development, strategy, and growth of Google Apps Marketplace, before ascending to the position of Engineering Director of Google Compute Engine. In his new role as SVP of Engineering and Chief Security Officer at FuzeBox, Raghav will be responsible for running engineering, testing, and developer operations. Eran Shtiegman served as director of product management at Skype following its $8.5 billion acquisition by Microsoft. As one of Microsoft's UC experts, Eran was tasked with helping set the direction for Skype's transition into Microsoft's offerings as part of the acquisition integration team. Once the acquisition closed, he transitioned to leading product for Skype's social graph, user growth, and advertising business. Before Skype, Eran led the product team for the Lync client.
