CapitaMalls Asia Limited announced group and parent financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013. For the quarter, the company reported on group basis revenue of SGD 91.518 million against SGD 70.890 million a year ago. Profit before taxation was SGD 79.657 million against SGD 73.356 million a year ago. profit attributable to owners of the company was SGD 73.233 million against SGD 66.828 million a year ago. The higher revenue was mainly attributable to new contribution from Olinas Mall which was acquired in July 2012 and The Star Vista which was opened in September 2012. In addition, the project management fee was higher mainly due to projects achieving targeted milestones. The property management fee was also higher mainly due to the opening of new malls. Net cash flows generated from operating activities was SGD 19.194 million against net cash flows used in operating activities of SGD 38.795 million a year ago. Deposits to acquire properties under development was SGD 32.170 million. Purchases of plant and equipment was SGD 1.404 million against SGD 1.488 million a year ago. EPS based on fully diluted basis was 1.9 cents against 1.7 cents a year ago. NAV per ordinary share as on March 31, 2013 was SGD 1.70 against SGD 1.67 a year ago. NAV per ordinary share on parent basis as on March 31, 2013 was SGD 1.26 against SGD 1.23 a year ago.
CapitaMalls Asia Limited at its AGM held on April 24, 2013, approved final 1-tier dividend of 1.625 Singapore cents per share for the year ended December 31, 2012. The Final Dividend will be paid on May 20, 2013 to shareholders whose names appeared on the Singapore Principal Share Register and the Hong Kong Branch register of the company on 6 May 2013.
