Canyon Copper Corp. announced that Mr. John Kerr, P.Eng. has been appointed to the Board of Directors. He has been a member on Canyon's Advisory Board which is utilized to assist Canyon's management in the evaluation and development of the Moonlight and New York Canyon Projects. Mr. Kerr has served as a director of numerous public companies and is currently a Director of Quaterra Resources and Bravada Gold Corp. In addition, Canyon's Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Mr. Bryan Wilson as director.

Canyon Copper Corp. announced that at its 2012 Annual General Meeting held on November 5, 2012, Anthony R. Harvey did not stand for re-election at the AGM. In addition, the company's Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Anthony R. Harvey as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. To fill the vacancy caused by this resignation, Benjamin Ainsworth was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the company.
