CoreSite Realty Corporation announced consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2014. The company reported FFO attributable to shares and units of $25.9 million for the three months ended September 30, 2014 compared to $21.868 million a year ago. On a per diluted share and unit basis, FFO increased 17.0% to $0.55 for the three months ended September 30, 2014, as compared to $0.47 per diluted share and unit for the three months ended September 30, 2013. For the quarter, the company reported total operating revenues of $70,515,000 against $60,635,000 a year ago. Operating income was $10,372,000 against $9,259,000 a year ago. Income before income taxes was $9,012,000 against $8,565,000 a year ago. Net income attributable to company was $5,231,000 against $4,985,000 a year ago. In addition, the company is revising its 2014 guidance for net income attributable to common shares to a range of $0.59 to $0.63 per diluted share from the previous range of $0.61 to $0.69 per diluted share. The difference between FFO and net income is attributable to real estate depreciation and amortization.

CoreSite Realty Corporation (NYSE:COR) has filed a shelf registration and plans to contribute the net proceeds to its operating partnership. The operating partnership will subsequently use the net proceeds received from us to potentially acquire or develop additional properties and for general corporate purposes, which may include payment of dividends, the repayment of existing indebtedness and capital expenditures for improvements to the properties in the portfolio.
