Cree, Inc. Introduces the LS Series Linear LED Luminaire

Cree, Inc. introduced the LS Series linear LED luminaire, designed to replace the hundreds of millions of fluorescent strip, wrap and industrial fixtures currently installed in North America. The Cree(R) LS Series linear LED luminaire offers a combination of sleek aesthetics and high performance, and complements Cree's extensive troffer and linear luminaire portfolio. Designed in a slim, modern form factor with multiple mounting options and lumen packages, the new LS Series linear LED luminaire can reduce energy consumption by more than 25% and nearly eliminate costly maintenance expenses, making it the ideal replacement for retail, education and industrial applications. Powered by Cree TrueWhite(R) Technology, the LS Series linear LED luminaire delivers best-in-class color quality and accuracy, a key feature for applications where visual acuity and color rendering are important. Offering surface, pendant, suspended and cove mounting options in four and eight-foot configurations, the LS Series linear LED luminaire provides flexible installation and easy end-user customization to accommodate nearly any application. The LS Series linear LED luminaire also reduces the "cave effect" commonly found in outdated fluorescent luminaires by providing a desirable 10% uplight.

Cree, Inc. Introduces 8000 Lumen LED Module

Cree, Inc. introduced the new 8000 lumen LMH2 LED Module, a no-compromise, easy-to-use solution for high-ceiling applications. The 8000 lumen LMH2 is designed to replace 150-watt ceramic metal halide (CMH) lamps while using only 63% the power and lasting three times as long. With the addition of the 8000 lumen LMH2, the Cree(R) LMH2 LED Module family offers the greate range of lumen output from a single form factor, making it possible to obsolete CMH technology. The company's LMH2 LED Module family provides an extensive range of light output (850 to 8000 lumens) from a single light source, enabling lighting manufacturers to quickly develop an entire product portfolio with just one set of tooling and optical design. Lighting designers can now utilize one light source and technology to illuminate an entire space, and avoid problems such as color inconsistency and re-lamping.
