Fondi Italiani per le Infrastrutture SGR SpA is seeking to acquire 20.6% stake in Autostrada dei Fiori S.p.A. from Banca Carige S.p.A. (BIT:CRG), but Banca Carige is asking at least €140 million for the stake, MF-Milano Finanza reported. However, F2i, is understood to be considering its offer adequate since it is for a minority stake in an unlisted company. The talks are at a stalemate and it is difficult to imagine another possible buyer willing to pay much more than €100 million as Carige has asked, MF-Milano added.

Permira Advisers Ltd., AXA Group (ENXTPA:CS), Allianz SE (DB:ALV) and Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft Aktiengesellschaft (DB:MUV2) (Munich Re) intend to acquire assets of Fondiaria-SAI S.p.A (BIT:FSA). Permira, AXA, Allianz and Munich Re also plans to acquire Carige Assicurazioni SpA and Carige Vita Nuova SpA from Banca Carige S.p.A. (BIT:CRG), Il Sole 24 Ore said. Non binding offers for Fondiaria assets are due by mid-June 2013. On the other hand, sale of Assicurazioni and Vita is still at an initial stage.

Gruppo Gavio SpA has confirmed that it is not interested in acquiring stake in Autostrada dei Fiori S.p.A. from Banca Carige S.p.A. (BIT:CRG), as already holds 60% stake in the later. Banca Carige has put up 20% stake in Autostrada, up for sale. Media reports suggested that Banca Carige was in talks with Gavio for the sale of stake, estimated at around €70 million.
