The company's primary mineral properties include the Pinto Valley Mine, an open pit copper-molybdenum mine located in Arizona, the United States; the Cozamin Mine, a copper-silver-zinc-lead underground mine consisting of 40 mining concessions covering approximately 3,389 hectares located in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico; the Minto Mine, an open pit and underground copper-gold-silver mine comprising 164 quartz claims covering an area of approximately 2,760 hectares located in the Whitehorse Mining District, Yukon, Canada; and a 70% interest in the Santo Domingo Project, a copper/gold/magnetite project encompassing 82 contiguous mining concessions covering an area of 19,841 hectares in Chile. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.

Capstone Mining Corp. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of $171.7 million compared to $58.3 million a year ago. Net earnings were $16.6 million or $0.04 per share compared to $9.2 million or $0.02 per share a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was $64.8 million or $0.17 per share compared to $28.8 million or $0.08 per share a year ago. Operating cash flow before changes in working capital was $56.5 million or $0.15 per share compared to $28.6 million or $0.08 per share a year ago. This reflects the strong operating results, partially offset by higher depreciation and amortization charges following the incorporation of Pinto Valley into results. For the six months period, the company reported revenue of $332.5 million compared to $115.9 million a year ago. Net earnings were $12.2 million or $0.03 per share compared to $16.2 million or $0.04 per share a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was $121.2 million or $0.32 per share compared to $52.8 million or $0.14 per share a year ago. Operating cash flow before changes in working capital was $104.7 million or $0.27 per share compared to $49.4 million or $0.13 per share a year ago.

Combined production totalled 27,700 tonnes of copper (in concentrates and cathode) in the second quarter with additional by-products of zinc, molybdenum, lead, silver and gold. For the six months, the company’s three operating mines: Pinto Valley, Cozamin and Minto. Combined production totalled 55,300 tonnes of copper (in concentrates and cathode) for the year-to-date periods, with additional by-products of zinc, molybdenum, lead, silver and gold. The company provided production guidance for the year 2014. Guidance for 102,000 tonnes +/-5% of copper in concentrates, at a C1 cash cost of USD 1.90 to USD 2.00 per pound of payable copper, net of by-product credits and selling costs, remains unchanged.
