It also provides digital factory solutions, such as planning and validation, and offline programming for machines and robots, as well as layout of cells, facilities, and lines; and SAP PLM solutions comprising SAP PLM implementation, engineering integration, visual enterprise, and output management, as well as is involved in application management, management of CAx-Environments, and monitoring software licenses. In addition, the company offers enterprise content management solutions, including social content management, content analytics and enterprise search, input management and archiving, compliance and governance, and contract management solutions, as well as digital files; collaboration management; business optimization and analytics; and application management services. It serves automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, and trade and commerce industries, as well as banks, insurance firms, and utilities. The company was formerly known as CENIT Aktiengesellschaft Systemhaus and changed its name to CENIT Aktiengesellschaft in May 2010. CENIT Aktiengesellschaft was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany.

CENIT AG reported earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2014. For the period, the company generated consistent sales compared to the same period last year. The PLM segment grew by around 3%, while the EIM segment faces a further decline due to the ongoing restructuring measures. EBIT however increased significantly by 17% to EUR 4,264,000. Sales revenue was EUR 59,700,000 compared with EUR 60,389,000 for the prior year. EBITDA was EUR 5,481,000 compared with EUR 4,800,000 for the prior year. EBIT was EUR 4,264,000 compared with EUR 3,645,000 for the prior year. Results per share were EUR 0.36 compared with EUR 0.31 for the prior year. The company is maintaining its forecast and expects an increase in sales and EBIT of approximately 5% for 2014.

Results per share were EUR 0.19 compared to EUR 0.15 a year ago. The gross yield (operating output less cost of materials) amounted to EUR 18,781,000 compared to EUR 19,238,000 a year ago. The company achieved EBITDA of EUR 2,767,000 compared to EUR 2,374,000 a year ago. The company targets sales growth of 5%. With respect to the overall development a proportional development of the segments is expected. The company is anticipating a rise of slightly more than 5% in earnings too (EBIT), which will be contributed to by both business divisions.
