Central Valley Community Bancorp operates as the holding company for Central Valley Community Bank that provides various commercial banking services to businesses, individuals, and professional communities in central California. Its deposit products include interest-bearing deposits comprising savings, NOW, money market, and time certificate of deposit accounts; and non-interest bearing demand deposits. The company’s loan portfolio comprises commercial and industrial loans; real estate construction, land development, and other land loans; equity loans and lines of credit; loans to finance agricultural activities and other loans to farmers; and loans to individuals for household, family, and other personal expenditures. It also provides domestic and international wire transfer, safe deposit box, Internet banking, and other customary banking services. The company operates through 21 full-service banking offices located in Clovis, Exeter, Fresno, Kerman, Lodi, Madera, Merced, Modesto, Oakhurst, Prather, Sacramento, Stockton, Tracy, and Visalia of California. Central Valley Community Bancorp was founded in 1979 and is based in Fresno, California.

Net interest income after provision for credit losses was $10,305,000 against $6,878,000 a year ago. Income before provision for income taxes was $3,615,000 against $1,482,000 a year ago. Net income available to common shareholders was $2,693,000 or $0.24 per diluted share against $1,199,000 or $0.12 per diluted share a year ago. For the total interest income was $20,615,000 against $14,394,000 a year ago. Net interest income before provision for credit losses was $20,004,000 against $13,723,000 a year ago. Net interest income after provision for credit losses was $20,404,000 against $13,723,000 a year ago. Income before provision for income taxes was $6,955,000 against $3,620,000 a year ago. Net income available to common shareholders was $5,309,000 or $0.48 per diluted share against $2,895,000 or $0.30 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Net income increased 72.93%, primarily driven by an increase in net interest income in 2014 compared to 2013. Net interest income during the first six months of 2014 was positively impacted by the collection of nonaccrual loans totaling $1,846,000 which resulted in a recovery of interest income of $861,000.
