Crown Point Energy Inc. announced with much regret and profound sadness the sudden death due to complications from a surgical procedure of Dr. Mateo Turic, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Crown Point Oil & Gas S.A., the Argentine subsidiary of the company, and a director of Crown Point. Dr. Turic had been with Crown Point Oil & Gas S.A. since 2007 and was a valued member of management and the Board of Directors. He will be missed. The management of Crown Point in both Canada and Argentina will be fulfilling Dr. Turic's duties until such time as a suitable successor is appointed. In accordance with the corporation's succession planning, Dr. Turic's duties in the interim will be shared between Dr. Brian J. Moss Chief Operating Officer and Daniel Lanussol Executive Vice President of Crown Point Oil & Gas S.A.

Crown Point Energy Inc. announced the adoption of an advance notice Bylaw. The Bylaw, as approved by the Board, includes, among other things, a provision that requires advance notice to the company in circumstances where nominations of persons for election to the Board are made by shareholders of the company other than pursuant to: a shareholder proposal made in accordance with the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) (the 'Act'); or a requisition of a meeting made in accordance with the Act. Among other things, the Bylaw fixes a deadline by which shareholders must submit director nominations to Crown Point prior to any annual or special meeting of shareholders and sets forth the specific information that a shareholder must include in the written notice to Crown Point for an effective nomination to occur. No person will be eligible for election as a director of the company unless nominated in accordance with the provisions of the Bylaw.

Crown Point Energy Inc. announced audited consolidated earnings and operating results for the four months ended December 31, 2012. For the four months, the company announced average sales volume of 2,053 BOE per day. Total sales of oil and natural gas were 250,411 BOE comprised 39% of oil and liquids and 61% of natural gas. Oil and liquids sales were 97,919 barrels of oil and liquids. Natural gas sales were 914,951 Mcf of natural gas. For the four months, the company announced oil and gas revenue of $8,206,914, net loss of $813,778 or $0.01 per basic and diluted share. Funds flow from operations was $2.6 million.
