Choice Hotels International finalized its move to new global headquarters at 1 Choice Hotels Circle in Rockville.

Choice Hotels International Inc. has entered into a joint venture with Fillmore Capital Partners, LLC and its affiliates to develop multiple Cambria Suites hotel properties. The venture with Fillmore provides for the future development of multiple Cambria Suites hotels at locations within urban markets. This strategic partnership aligns perfectly with Choice Hotels' plan to establish Cambria Suites as a major brand in such key markets. All Cambria Suites hotels are new-construction and the brand leads the rest of the upscale lodging segment in guest satisfaction scores as measured by guests likelihood to recommend.

Choice Hotels International Inc. announced the opening of its 100th hotel, a milestone for the portfolio of independent hotels launched in late 2008. The announcement was made at the company's annual convention in Los Angeles on the heels of a string of additions that marked the Collection's expansion into such top destinations as Las Vegas, Napa Valley, Sedona and Baltimore. Since the beginning of the year, Ascend Hotel Collection has opened 30 hotels, catapulting the portfolio to its landmark 100(th) hotel in less than five years. Ascend Hotel Collection's 100th property, Hotel Elan, is the portfolio's first in Calgary. It joins seven other Canadian locations coast-to-coast, including Quebec City, Ottawa and Halifax. The hotel will celebrate its status as the landmark 100th hotel by rewarding 100 guests with Elite Gold Status in the Choice Privileges rewards program.
