BDI BioEnergy International AG reported earnings results for the third quarter of 2014. For the quarter, the company showed a drop in sales revenue of 56.4% to EUR 11.5 million due to unforeseeable delays in the implementation of large-scale projects. The operating result (EBIT) was a loss of EUR 4.1 million compared to operating profit of EUR 0.9 million reported a year ago. It was possible to improve the net result for the period to a loss of EUR 1.8 million compared to net income of EUR 1.6 million reported a year ago, due to a positive financial result. BDI BioEnergy International AG Wins Contract for New RetroFit Project from Crimson Renewable Energy LP

BDI BioEnergy International AG announced the signing of a contract for a plant optimisation project in the USA. Contract volume is in the lower single-digit million Euro range. Customer is Crimson Renewable Energy LP | Bakersfield, California, USA. Raw materials are waste oils & greases. This new RetroFit project enables BDI to strengthen its presence in the American biodiesel market. BDI will supply engineering services and equipment for several important process phases in order to increase plant capacity to 75,000 tons a year and to modernise the existing biodiesel plant. This will also enable waste materials to be processed more efficiently and more sustainably into high quality, ultra-low carbon biodiesel transportation fuel. The plant optimization project represents the next milestone in the 8-step BDI RetroFit programme "One Stop Shop" that BDI began work on in 2013 with Crimson to develop the necessary technical data and basic engineering for the RetroFit to improve Crimson's biodiesel production operations.

BDI BioEnergy Announces Earnings Results for the First Half of 2014; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Year 2014

BDI BioEnergy announced earnings results for the first half of 2014. For the period, the company net profit summed to €0.9m loss compared to €1 million profit during the first half of 2013, as a result of the uncertain market situation in the Austria-based biofuel producer's core market of Europe. Sales for the period nearly halved year on year at €8.6 million, while earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) slumped to €2.5 million loss year on year. The company predicts no change in external conditions in the second half of 2014, meaning that earnings are also likely to be negative for 2014 as a whole.
