Mercedes Benz Launches C260 L

Mercedes Benz announced that it has launched a long-wheelbase version of the new 2015 C-Class called C260 L at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. The vehicle is to compete with the similarly stretched variants of the BMW 3-Series, the Audi A4 and the Volvo S60. It is 2.3 inches longer than its regular-wheelbase counterpart. It is equipped with a 1.8 litre four-cylinder engine that delivers 201bhp and 228 lb-ft. of torque, coupled with an automatic transmission. The company is expected to add a six-cylinder engine to the range in the production run, but a turbo diesel engine will not be offered.

Mercedes Benz to Develop Facelift Version of M-Class SUV

Mercedes Benz announced that it is reportedly working on the facelift version of its M-Class SUV. The model is to feature a redesigned front-end with a larger, more prominent front grille and new headlight clusters like those seen on the new S-Class and C-Class models, and a rear with a lower bumper that incorporates the dual exhausts and updated rear light clusters. The automaker is also adding new trim and material upgrades inside the cabin, and the dashboard is likely to integrate Mercedes-Benz's new COMAND infotainment system. The facelift M-Class is to arrive at dealerships by 2015, and is likely to be unveiled before the end of this year.

Daimler AG to Launch Long-Wheelbase Version of 2015 C-Class in Beijing

Daimler AG is launching its long-wheelbase version of the new 2015 C-Class in Beijing later in April. The model is 2.3 inches longer than the regular-wheelbase version. It is to be equipped with the same four-cylinder engines as existing models, and all models will be equipped with automatic transmission. Both the long- and regular-wheelbase variants of the 2015 C will be produced in Beijing by Beijing Benz, a joint-venture between Beijing Automotive and Daimler. The stretched version is to arrive at Chinese dealerships following the Beijing show at the end of this month.
