It offers various cheese products, including cheddar cheese under the Cathedral City and Davidstow brands; butters and spreads under the Country Life and Clover brands; conventional, organic, and flavored milk in retailer own brand bottles and under the Country Life brand; milk in bags; potted creams; and ingredients, such as milk powders, butter, and stabilized cream for the food industry. The company also provides its products include FRijj, Chedds, Utterly Butterly, Vitalite, Willow, and Chedds brand names. In addition, it offers a range of catering and retail convenience essentials, and dairy products to catering, hotel, restaurant, cafe and coffee shop, school and university, hospital and care-home, and retail convenience store customers. The company was founded in 1933 and is headquartered in Esher, the United Kingdom.

Dairy Crest Group plc Announces Management Changes

Dairy Crest Group plc announced that on May 23, 2013, after nearly ten years as Finance Director, Alastair Murray will leave to pursue other business interests. Alastair's successor as Finance Director is Tom Atherton who has been Dairy Crest's Director of Financial Control for the past four years and has worked for Dairy Crest for over seven years in total. In addition Toby Brinsmead who was Managing Director of the Dairies business before the company reorganized into a unified structure left the business earlier May 2013.

Dairy Crest Group plc Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Year Ended March 31, 2013; Recommends Final Dividend for the Year 2013, Payable on August 1, 2013

Dairy Crest Group plc reported consolidated earnings results for the year ended March 31, 2013. For the year, the company reported group revenue of £1,381.6 million compared to £1,514.7 million a year ago. Profit on operations was £21.1 million compared to loss on operations of £25.8 million a year ago. Loss before tax was £0.4 million compared to £41.7 million a year ago. Profit for the year attributable to the equity holders of the company was £54.5 million compared to loss for the year attributable to the equity holders of the company of £17.1 million a year ago. Adjusted diluted earnings per share from continuing operations were £29.9 compared to £28.9 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share for the year were £39.9 compared to diluted loss per share of £12.8 a year ago. Net cash outflow from operating activities was £3.96 million compared to net cash inflow from operating activities of £46.8 million a year ago. Capital expenditures were £50.9 million compared to £53.3 million a year ago. The board of the company is recommending a final dividend of 15.0 pence per share, making a full year 2013 dividend of 20.7 pence, up 1.5% from last year. This dividend is covered 1.4 times by adjusted basic earnings per share. The final dividend will be paid on August 1, 2013 to shareholders on the register on June 28, 2013.

Dairy Crest Group plc (LSE:DCG) is seeking acquisitions. Mark Allen, Chief Executive Officer of Dairy Crest Group, said, "We will also continue to sell properties we no longer require and, in the absence of acquisitions or internal investment in new growth opportunities, would expect net debt to fall after 2013/14."
