DDD Group plc reported consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2012. For the year, the company’s turnover was up 56% to $8,620,000 against $5,534,000 a year ago. Operating profit was $1,290,000 against operating loss of $131,000 a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was up 132% to $3,213,000; 37% against $1,383,000 a year ago. Profit from continuing operations before tax was $1,314,000 against loss from continuing operations before tax of $96,000 a year ago. Profit for the year was $764,000 against loss for the year of $582,000 a year ago. Profit per diluted share was 0.55 cents against loss per diluted share of 0.43 cents a year ago. Net cash inflow from operating activities was $2,217,000 against $120,000 inflow a year ago. Adjusted group profit before tax and share-based incentive costs was $2,047,000 against $525,000 a year ago. Capitalised expenditure was $1,873,000 against $1,545,000 a year ago. The increase in revenue was driven by growth in shipments of 3D devices including: televisions, Blu-ray players, PCs and smartphones incorporating the Group's TriDef 3D solutions.

DDD Group plc licensed its TriDef 3D Mobile content solutions to Chinese manufacturer Qingyuan Gadmei Electronics Technology Co. Ltd. for its new glasses-free 3D tablets. Gadmei's E8-3D 8" tablets will use the TriDef 3D video SDK to convert 2D videos into 3D. The 8" high definition screens provide 3D viewing without the need to wear glasses. They are expected to launch in the second quarter of 2013. DDD will receive quarterly royalty revenues from Gadmei, based on the volume of 3D tablets shipped. DDD's TriDef 3D Mobile solution also includes automatic 3D game conversion, which is expected to be included in next generation 3D Gadmei tablets. TriDef 3D Mobile allows over 30 of the latest mobile games to be played in stereoscopic 3D 'off the shelf', even though the game was not specifically developed for 3D. The Gadmei tablets are also compatible with the soon-to-be-released Yabazam 3D Android app that provides access to the original 3D programming available via DDD's Yabazam content portal, which already offers over 80 streaming 3D movie titles for viewing on 3D consumer devices.
