The company made a revenue of AED 478 million - an increase from the AED 428 million from first half of 2013. The company attributed the gains to an increase in sales volume in local and exports business, as well as savings in key raw material prices.

Dubai Refreshments To Hold Merger Talks With Abu Dhabi Refreshments Company

Dubai Refreshments (P.J.S.C.) (DFM:DRC) said that it would open talks with Abu Dhabi Refreshments Company Limited, about a possible merger. Both firms are franchisee holders for the distribution of Pepsi Co products. Dubai Refreshments said in a statement that A working group would be set up to study a proposed tie-up between the two companies, which will report to the respective board of directors "in a few months".
