Societe Generale Reportedly Mulls Stake In DAB Bank

Societe Generale Group (ENXTPA:GLE) is eyeing a deal with UniCredit Bank AG to acquire stake in DAB Bank AG (XTRA:DRN), reported Manager Magazin. According to the reports, Societe Generale is mulling stake in DAB Bank. UniCredit Bank is pushing ahead with the sale of DAB Bank as UniCredit S.p.A. (BIT:UCG), parent of UniCredit Bank, seeks to restructure. The magazine added that in recent weeks, about 10 potential bidders have shown interest in DAB, including ING-DiBa AG, comdirect bank AG (XTRA:COM) and Cortal Consors S.A., as well as financial investors.

DAB Bank AG Reports Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 2014

DAB Bank AG reported earnings results for the first quarter ended March 2014. For the quarter, net interest income was EUR 12,361 million against EUR 8,746 million a year ago. Trading profit and profit from investments was EUR 0.646 million against EUR 1.923 million a year ago. Net commission income was EUR 22.772 million against EUR 20.843 million a year ago. DAB Bank generated total operating income of EUR 35.78 million, reflecting an increase of about 14% over the corresponding year-ago figure. Earnings before taxes was EUR 6.873 million against EUR 4.715 million a year ago. Net profit after taxes was EUR 4.600 million or EUR 0.05 per share against EUR 3.243 million or EUR 0.04 per share a year ago.
