Deutsche Telekom AG provides integrated telecommunication services worldwide. The company operates through four segments: Germany, United States, Europe, and Systems Solutions. It offers fixed-network services, such as voice and data communication services based on fixed-network and broadband technology; and sells terminal equipment and other hardware, as well as services to resellers. The company also provides mobile voice and data services to consumers and business customers; sells mobile handsets and other hardware; and sells mobile communications services to resellers and to companies that purchases and markets network services independently to third parties, such as mobile virtual network operators. Deutsche Telekom AG and Cisco Systems, Inc. Enter into Strategic Partnership Agreement

Deutsche Telekom AG and Cisco Systems, Inc. have announced their intent to enter into a new strategic partnership agreement. T-Systems will be the pioneer to bring corporate customers in Germany and Europe onto Cisco's global Intercloud platform. The systems solutions unit of Deutsche Telekom will operate and manage the Intercloud platform in its brand-new datacenter near the German city of Magdeburg. To start with, T-Systems will operate the cloud services as well as manage customer relations directly.

Deutsche Telekom to Launch Data Security Tool for Applications on Mobile Company Devices

Deutsche Telekom announced that it will launch a data security tool for applications on mobile company devices. The product called Safe Mobile Business Apps (Samba) will allow companies to ensure data security on devices given to employees and private devices used for work purposes. It builds a virtual safe around all of the company's apps that ensures secure communication between apps and the management of user-adapted access rights. The product can be seen at the it-sa security fair in Nuremberg from 7 to 9 October 2014.

Privatisation of Telekom Slovenije Reprtedly By February 2015

Telekom Slovenije d.d. (LJSE:TLSG) is reportedly to be privatisated by February 2015. The sale was to have been finalised by the end of 2014, but the selection of a new cabinet and a general election have delayed the process. Deutsche Telekom AG (DB:DTE) and Apax Partners LLP expressed interest and the sale might be completed within five months, Business Monitor International reported citing local media reports. Offers for a 75.58% stake in Telekom Slovenije had been invited earlier in 2014; the previous government expected to attain a sale price of more than $957 million.
