It operates in three segments: Medical and Healthcare; International and Professional Educational; and Business, Technology and Management. The Medical and Healthcare segment operates American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Chamberlain College of Nursing, and Carrington College. This segment provides various medical, nursing, and veterinary education programs; and prepares students for careers in healthcare through certificate and associate degree programs, as well as post-licensure bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degree programs in nursing online. The International and Professional Education segment operates various institutions comprising Fanor, Ruy Barbosa, ÁREA1, Faculdade Boa Viagem, Centro Universitário Vale do Ipojuca, Faculdade Diferencial Integral, Faculdade DeVry Sao Luis, and Faculdade DeVry Joao Pessoa, which primarily offers undergraduate and graduate programs in business, management, medical, healthcare, law, and engineering. This segment also operates Becker Professional Education that provides professional education serving the accounting, finance, project management, and healthcare professions. The Business, Technology and Management segment offers career-oriented master’s, bachelor’s, and associate degree programs in technology, science, business, and the arts. The company was formerly known as DeVry Inc. and changed its name to DeVry Education Group Inc. in November 2013. DeVry Education Group Inc. was founded in 1931 and is headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois.

DeVry Education Group Inc. reported unaudited preliminary consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year that ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported total revenues of $485.073 million against $479.964 million a year ago. Operating income was $42.898 million against operating loss of $25.362 million a year ago. Income from continuing operations before income taxes was $42.624 million against loss from continuing operations before income taxes was $25.521 million a year ago. Income from continuing operations was $38.038 million or $0.58 per diluted share against loss from continuing operations of $19.009 million or $0.32 per diluted share a year ago. Net income attributable to the company was $37.484 million or $0.58 per diluted share against net loss attributable to the company of $32.310 million or $0.51 per diluted share a year ago. For the year, the company reported total revenues of $1,923.371 million against $1,964.375 million a year ago. Operating income was $181.268 million against $166.928 million a year ago.
