Elco Holdings Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2011. For the quarter, the company reported total revenues amounted to $424 million, sales turnover amounted to $381 million, income before taxes on income amounted to $54 million and net income amounted to $33 million and profit attributed to shareholders in the company amounted to $32 million. The change in the revenues derived primarily from an increase in the production and services for buildings and infrastructure segment, and on the other hand from a decrease in the marketing of electrical consumer products in Israel, primarily in the retail and communications field as well as in the income-generating real estate segment, as a result of the disposal of assets during the course of the reporting period and from the disposal of a company in China. For the year, the company reported revenues, net of $1,594.54 million against $1,609.69 million a year ago. Total revenues amounted to $1,666 million, as compared to $1,659 million in the previous year. The net income for the year 2011 amounted to $22 million compared with net income of $13 million in the previous year. The income before taxes on income amounted to $56 million as compared with income of $39 million in the previous year. Income from continuing operations was $19.85 million or $0.19 per diluted share against $9.15 million or loss of $0.41 per diluted share a year ago. Net income attributable to shareholders in the company was $7.14 million or $0.27 per diluted share against net loss attributable to shareholders in the company of $8.34 million or $0.32 per diluted share a year ago. Net cash absorbed by operating activities was $70.68 million against net cash generated by operating activities of $38.48 million a year ago. Acquisition of fixed assets and intangible assets was $45.85 million against $40.9 million a year ago.
